Faith V Works.....my 2 cents..

so what you guys are saying is that i can beat & rape my wife, bash my children, break the law, be a violent drunk, and as long as i have faith that jesus christ was the messiah and have faith in jehovah god, i can still be declared righteous????.

read carefully james 2:14-24. or don't you understand it or don't believe it?.

abraham and rahab were both declared righteous because of their works because they both had faith.. "faith accompanied by works"

I love this subject too.I believe faith in OUR LORD is all
that is required. Having said that you will them exhibit
Christ like love. Now none of us can raise the dead and
make the blind see. Nor for most of us are our lives as
free as the SONS was. But each one of us once having
FAITH and still being humanly alive must show LOVE
for the 'least of these me brothers'.Even if that only means
bring home a bowl of rice to feed your family with. Thus
showing love for your family and others who can now
go on to feed more people of need.

What is LOVE anyway. I know this if your hungry and
outdoors it sure isn't loving to give me a watchtower
and say may god bless read this and you'll see what
Jehovah is going to do for you.
Although if I had a match it might keep my little one
warm enough until she falls asleep. Any extra back
issues you looking to get rid of?

AK are you saying the evil doer needs good works in
the kingdom? If so is he any different then the man
hanging on the other side-for won't he be there too?
I don't care where the coma is I want to know the
different rewards between the two? Jesus did tell
the one with FAITH no works he will be with him in
Paradise?I'm confused does the one with FAITH
get nothing extra for HIS FAITH in the LORD?

ALCOHOLICS

does anyone have experience with alcohol abusing family members?.

what can you do if they dont want to change?what do you do if they have chld(ren) being neglected and the aothorities wont help.. also what if you suspect other mental problems causing anger out bursts-threatend suicide etc.. sorry this is such a quick note as ive been up all night,but i would.

truly appreciate any advice or experience as this could be life-death as she drink drives with 3yr old .. thankyou friends

Outnfree-yes that is what I meant about setting up.
Jezebel you have done well writing your letters but
tough love is hard and you need to go further. These
people you wrote may be well meaning but none of
them will be at the funneral for your youngest sister
you will, if the worst should ever happen.
If she ever hits or throws anything again have her
arrested for assult anything to show her she has a
problem. It must start somewhere it looks like it's
up to you.

Sorry AK but 75 came from freddie himself. RF could
never and would never be able to float a date. freddie
did not set RF straight until 77 or was it 78 because
once again he blew it. Needed to shift blame on someone
just like Adam did.

New date new date I'm so excited: who's floating this one?
There was a thread a while back about if there would be
a new date. They really do need one because of the
rewards that the society offer to RF.
1-make it through the great day-eat your wheaties-kiss
my behind-and live forever
2-If you die before the great day you and virtually all other
humans have same reward i.e. no point on living a puritan
life and being a non paid magizine salesman.
Thus RF need a date that is with in there life time.
The society does not care about longevity only about
selling mags, right now.

Englishman-my mom sounds a lot like yours. Funny thing
though my dad was trying to get her to sell our house
[he owed a lot of money] prior to the JW knock on the door
in the early 70's.She did not care it was her house to raise
us kids in and if he had to work 25 hours a day 7 days a
week so be it .[they were his debts]
Upon partaking of that grand meal offered at that time
she agreed to sell the house. She really has not felt
right ever since-food piosoning takes a long time to
recover from. She to is not a 75er blames my dad for
loosing the house, how soon the RF forget.

JWs and Alcohol Abuse/Addition/Escapism

when i first started studying in 84 at the ripe ol age of 29, i was told oft and repeatedly that jws did everything in moderation, and nothing sinful or unbiblical.

apparently, like everything else, they have added footnotes to the scriptures that say not to get drunk, as that seems to be their only "legitimate" (read, unregulated) escape from the reality that is the witchtrowel babble and trash sectciety.. there was one elder in my first congregation that reeked of alcohol even first thing in the morning at field service.

i was told by someone "born in the truth" that he had a "body chemistry problem, whereby when he would sweat it would smell like alcohol, and he did sweat profusely...hence the reddenned face.

It's been around 35 years now for my dad, He surely
would be dead long ago if not for AA. If any of you
lurkers out there have a drinking problem you need
to seek out AA and get real help. So you can become
healthy again and push more of the watchtower teachings
so you can get depressed again so you can pick up a
bottle again so you..................................................................

Most if not all alcoholics are depressed people
Many JW.s are depressed people
Why should anybody doubt the fact that
many brothers and sisters have a drinking problem.
But please if you have a problem go to AA AA AA AA
The life you save wil be your OWN and your FAMILIES.
