Bullshit. He does not meet your definition of normal and you have repeatedly inferred that he is defective because you are unable to appreciate alternative appearance.

I fear the impression he gives the world.

Personal choices in body decoration/modification have nothing to do with self respect. I don't know what Cleaver -like conservative utopia you're from or where you get the idea that there is anything wrong with freaky people. There's nothing wrong with me or my body, but I have chosen to decorate it as I see fit because it's mine. I have rings in my face because I like the way they look. I have tattoos for the same reason and resent your inference that my well informed personal choices make me defective or wrong. You are a close-minded, shallow and judgemental person. Who really has the problem?

Rosalee, you are entitled to your opinion as we are entitled to disagree. The reason I responded to you in a hostile manner is this. Your original response to this post was nothing more than regurgitated fear mongering I have recieved from close-minded people all of my life. When I was a dub, I was harassed for being different and judged as a freak for my beliefs. What you are saying about RR is nothing different, you are attacking what you fear because it's different.

Consider this. I have several tattoos and piercings. The age in my profile to the left is correct. I am not crying out for attention or help as you define it. I like the way I look and have no regrets about any of the decsions I have made regarding my body and my appearance. Lack of a "normal" appearance does not make a person flawed, just interesting. One can still be a very well adjusted and functional member of society without looking traditional.

Your inability to accept people without judgement and condemnation says much more about you than it does the "freaks".

Not so much eager, as confused by the similarity of writing styles and illogical content. The ease with which I was able to change the name that I addressed my post to without greatly altering the content of my post speaks to this.

Dom and I are fairly close friends and share similar views on a wide variety of topics, so it's not suprising that there were similarities.

I am moved by your interest in my credibility. As I have no interest in it whatsoever, especially on Discussion Boards, please feel free to stand down your concerns. ;)

An error of prejudgement on my part, you came across as someone who took things to seriously. I apologize for jumping to an erroneous conclusion. I really have no interest in your credibility or mine and shant put anymore thought into it.

Unlike Rosalee you seem to be intelligent and deserving of a well thought response. Since I'm at work currently, I'm a bit distracted and will have to set aside time later. I'm not entirely sure I'm dedicated enough to actually take the time (I have a real life I swear!). I would like to apologize for the less than friendly manner in which I responded to you originally and will address you in a more civil manner henceforth.

A little eager for an argument Hil? I won't be held responsible/given credit for CHL's statements. I intend to respond to your post when I have some time to read and consider it all. You appear to be somewhat intelligent, but I recommend that you don't confuse which of the Kilted Brethren you are addressing as it draws from your credibility. Especially if you are trying to use disparity of reasoning as your weapon of choice.

Edited to add: I see you caught your mistake and changed it. I will take time to consider your thoughts and respond when I have a few more minutes to do so.
