it seems hard to find a jw contact on the internet.
i'm a messianic and i'm trying to get an idea of what jw teach without all the prejudice of the mainstream gossip line.
is there any out there defending the jw beliefs on line?.
If you go to www.watchtower.org you can fill out a contact page. However this will result in someone knocking at your door.
JWs are a bit paranoid about explaining their faith on-line, primarily because the internet is a common tool of JW-opposers or "apostates".

i just found a copy of the book "paradise" by jf rutherford at a garage sale yesterday.
on the ifrst page he says the book is for the "jonadabs".. can someone tell me who they are and how they fit in to the great witness scheme of things?.
Jonadabs = anyone who has an earthly hope (instead of going to heaven).
"Jonadabs" is now an obsolete term replaced by "the great crowd" or "other sheep".
Thus most of the current 6 million JWs (minus about 8500 heavenly hopefuls) are "Jonadabs"
the '2006 deliverance at hand" conventions are about to begin this month.
i can't wait to hear about the "new light".

is the actual book being passed on to an attorney who will be able to put it to good use?

from reading the various posts it seems that this site serves nothing more than an iconoclastic purpose.
was your experience as jw's so traumatic that now you can but put forth such effort to daemonize the religion?
Please also think on the children of JWs who are indoctrinated in a bubble of reality and have no social choice but to join.
JW youth are a primary source of new baptisms and growth in developed countries.
Usually baptised as teens (sometimes as young as 8) they are now trapped in a cult that will disfellowship them from an insular social system. Since JWs are not encouraged to be friends with non-JWs this is a real threat to mental and emotional health.
JW youth are also more likely to browse the internet and locate sites such as this. That's a "point" to consider.

Does this offer real protection? All that would have to be done in a court of law is to get two or three elders on the witness stand to testify that they were TOLD to write this in their flock books at the elder's school.
And for good measure, a couple of COs and DOs could be put on the stand to testify that THEY told the elders to write in the additional instructions in their booksword for word as they were told.
Have you heard of theocratic warfare? These elders, COs and DOs would gladly testify that their notes were their "opinion" if it meant saving the WTS. Don't expect to corner the WTS based on their own member's testimony.

Wasn't there a page in the book with lines to be filled in with the name of the elder, the date when he was issued the book, and (I think) the date he turned it in?
There is no formal page to sign or name the owner of the book. However, I do believe that the area containing the elder's name was removed because of privacy issues and the circumstances of its acquisition.
The best vouch for the handwritten notes is to compare with other Flock books. This would rend the veil of legal protection that the Society uses by instructing elders to write critical procedures in their own hand.

Baptisms are so down. At the last assembly I attended (this year) the speaker was actually mentioned each of the names of the baptism candidates (8 total) in his talk!
Days gone by (ending in the 80's/early 90's) there would be 50+ baptisms at conventions and at least 20 at assemblies with various ages.
Now there are about 15-20 at conventions and 3-10 at assemblies with maybe one adult in the group, all else teens or preteens.
