Always wondered what is at the heart of coming to message boards. Do we come to see our own thoughts in writting, or to see what others think? I think it is a little bit celebrity, and a mix of fan. In all, it seems to be a big part of the internet.
has it ever occurred to any body out there why jehovah's witnesses are so disliked/picked on etc?

Are you kidding me, ... I think the Jews who were in Germany in the 1930's-40's would debate this. Also the Muslims are all seen as terrorist. I think the Witnesses are hardly even noticed, unless you are one or related to one.
i remember sitting through countless meetings, convention, and assemblies and having the scripture about putting away the old personality and putting on the new personality hounded into us repeatedly.
in retrospect, it appears wt wanted us to give up any personality or individualism and conform to a new personality based on wt mandates and become a mindless drone.
i am so happy to be free to be me and no longer driven by guilt to conform to a mans interpretation of god.. when we lose the right to be different, we lose the privilege to be free.
Every organization, even work place, changes your personality to some extent. I work in a place where you would not understand us at all when we talk and how we act, unless you worked there and were not even a religion. Just our work personality and I act different at home. Much like the Witnesses.

i already preordered and since my witness family has always said harry potter is demonized, i hope mine comes with the proper evil forces or i will feel like i purchased a defect.
I know an elder who said in a talk that he would never watch the movie Wizard of Oz, as it had witches, and one day while at him home I saw he owned it on VHS. All sounds good on stage though.

That is what my sister said too. She had bought the first HP and thought was a kids story for all, keep in mind this was years ago. She was told to burn her copy and not even throw it away, for fear it may get into the hands of another. Weird, isn't it?

You'll get used to it or.......you won't.
To me, getting used to something mean that you learn the way something works and fall in line. This is more like getting used to walking across a mine field. Your walking along and have no idea when the "BOOM!" happens and you walk away with a few less limbs. That is not something I want to get used too. How about a map or explanation? Also, are there people here who e-mail mods and ask for deleted post. Are there elder wives?

Furthermore your suggestion this place is like the kingdom hall is the oldest piece of horse shit that has been declared time and time again by people who get their panties in a wad. Tired and simply not true.
Not to get into this with you, but to study this site and a Kingdom Hall and find things that are alike, does not take a much effort. Any website chat room, message board would fit.

Yes, so does the religion and Kingdom Hall.
2. Are there clicks, leaders, people in charge?
Yes, and what happened with me is an example of that.
3. Are there people expelled from this site?
Actually I did not know this happened here until someone sent me a message and linked to another site and there were angry people there mentioning that they were expelled. Bothered me a bit, but it happens on all sites like this.
Just going to use three, but I could compare any site like this is the Kingdom Hall and ANY religion for hours and see things in common. Order does fit, but how about a message explaining actions. Hell, even the government sends you a message to explain the BS they pull, makes you feel a little better at least. Just don't tell me that this place is not like the Kingdom Hall and expect me to buy it like I am blind. It's an organization to some extent and with organizations comes so form of order.

It probably fell foul of the second rule relating to posting: Inciting hatred on the basis of race, religion...
On a former Witness site, seems like a rule that could be bent a few times. Now if I posted to a Muslim on this site, "I want to kill you." I would expect the boot and delete. I don't feel negative toward Muslims, but the question to me that I asked was valid. People are thinking this and after each terror attack it grows. I just wanted to discuss it and have some thoughts exchanged. Does holy spirit guide the mods in their actions? I can't see where any part of my thread incited hate, not to anyone who read it at least.
