A little humor about forums/thought this might make everyone laugh
by restrangled inhow many forum members does it take to change a light bulb?from snoggle, for about.com.
1 to change the light bulb then post about it 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could've been changed differently 1 to move it to the lighting folder 2 to argue and then move it to the electrical folder 7 to point out grammar/spelling errors in post about changing light bulbs 5 to flame the spell checkers 3 to correct spelling/grammar flames 6 to argue whether it's a light bulb or lightbulb 2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper tern is lamp 15 know it all who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb is perfectly correct 19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take the discussion to the lightbulb forum 11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum 36 to discuss the dangers of changing light bulbs without a professional opinion 5 to post a disclaimer that they are not light bulb experts, nor do they play one on tv and that anyone planning on changing their own light bulb should consult a professional 7 to post urls where one can see examples of different light bulbs 4 to post that the urls were posted incorrectly and then to post the correct urls 3 to post about links they found from the urls that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group 13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add, "me too.
" 5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy 4 to say, "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?

Posters I'll miss the most...
by Jringe01 inthey say that with any trip the destination's not important but rather the journey itself.
during my journey out of the wts and thru my time on this site here are some of the people who have caught my attention in one way or another even though i never really interacted with them.
i posted this list on simon's thread announcing that jwd was winding down but then i thought about it and decided to start a topic because i want to make sure these people see that i'm thinking of them and that they meant something to me even though we never met.

I am going to miss "Everyone"....
I've laughed and cried with all of you, at one point or another..... no way I can single out just a few, I've been here too long for that.
I refuse to believe it's all over, maybe after the dust settles, we'll meet up again somewhere else.

How many knew of...
by tresdecu inelders, mss, pioneers, ... heck even cos who privately expressed doubts to you directly or other reliable sources?.
(i hate the distinction between those "spiritual giants" (i never was one...just a r&f/ms) and the common folk).
but it's interesting / stregthening to hear stories of them expressing their distaste at some of the bs..

to hear stories of them expressing their distaste at some of the BS.
Not exactly doubts, but "distaste" as quoted above...
One Elder told me that he "hated" going in the door to door work, because he didn't want to be there, he knew the people didn't want him there anyway. Kind of suprised me when he said this, as it was during a shepherding call.
Another Elder was visiting us and the subject of the constant "Do More" demands of the WTS came up. He totally agreed and said "I know, it seems we can never do enough, no matter how hard we try". Then he just hung his head and looked so defeated.
Both of these times made an impression on me, in that... these people were just as worn out and stressed as I was.......

Personally,
I like Nicole Kidman, granted she's not the most talented actress or the best looking, but there is an air about her of some sort. I especially liked her in "Cold Mountain".
I have no idea what the fuss is about concerning "Spider man"... doesn't do a thing for me.
The thought of eating Sushi....gags me...
As for Shakespeare... I haven't read much of it, what little I have, I found hard to understand.
I understand what you are saying tho.

I can't read the article, but just the concept of it blows me away.
What kind of mindset would a "Witness" have to have to do such a thing.
They "Know" it doesn't work that way...........
