the po called and told all us that jehovah would not let the place blow up while meeting was going on so meeting was still going to be held and he asked all of us brothers to call and inform the congregation that jehovah will protect us and to tell the congregation about an article of a hurricane that destroyed a town but jumped over the kingdom hall.

At this time that is what they were taught to believe that Jehovah would protect you if you were doing his will. I know that is not what they put in writing now but it was what they wanted us to believe back then.

so today, after the meeting, one of the elders from my jc walks up to me and my mother and asks if we had time to talk.

thankfully, i had to get to work, and mom wasn't feeling great.

we said today wasn't good.. so basiccally he said that he and another brother want to meet with us on wednsday night, after the tms, to "see how things are going".. so here's quandry:.

Yes the Jw's believe this. Growing up I heard over and over about a Witch Doctor in public put a public curse and right after the Witch doctor fell dead. Plus over and over about two new rope breaking trying to hang a brother so the town fokes left him alone in fear of his God. I started to believe this as proof that Jehovah was on on our side but as time went by I became aware that ALL the stories was Bull Sheet at best. Over and over I heard the same thinking at the Curcuit Asemblies. My father in Law just used this type of think on me to prove how wrogn I am.

I have to join in I can make people smile when I tell them that Im am the sexiest man alive. I guess it is OK that they laugh. I think? On the serious side of life I am a very good Flute player very good.

sometimes i get a question that just stuns me.

this one was from a self-described "ex-jw" who says he was disfellowshipped for some ethical lapse or some such.

he thinks there's nothing at all wrong with the watchtower society, just something wrong with him.

Merry I don't know if you are still on the web but do you remember when this happened. I sure it had to have been tlked about in your hall we were young adults at I was married only a few years and I think you were gone from the area maybe?
