  please help,need some advice.

  my daughter married a jw last april without telling us.

  i suspect she thought we wouldn't approve.

  Your daughter and her husband are under the influence of mind control. That is just a real fancy way of saying that they are in an environment where everybody thinks the same way, and uses the same stupid arguments to control them.

  i remember once talking to a brother at the kingdom hall, who was a car mechanic, and i asked him a little question about my car, and he replied, we don't talk about this at the kingdom hall, meaning we should only talk about spiritual things.... .

  gee, i couldn't believe what he told me, when just about everyone at the hall talks about anything butt religious stuff..

  In the beginning it seemed so, but as time went on, the fact that they weren't fulfilling that need, and their lies, failed preditions, lack of love, ect. time to leave...

  So you were able to fulfill those needs outside the org?

  You understand my motivation Crumpy.

  Much time and talk are spent here discussing certain facts about jw's to bring to light. There is also the school of thought that you have to approach it as a cult/mind control problem. But I think it goes even deeper, and is specific to the individual. I think absolutely NOTHING you can do or say will make a difference to the person if they NEED to believe in the jw.

  If you are able to remove the need, or fulfill it in some way, I think then the other approaches become possible.

  Before that, no dice.

  So as my dear, sweet, and absolutely lovely sister Crumpy pointed out, the question is more aimed at jw's.

  I'm back!!!!

  hello again from sunny north carolina!!!.

  our state lotto started today, and i won 15 dollars, and only bought 1 $1 card.

  so whoop whoop for gambling.. i was in miami florida last week for the photoshop world conference, but i also got to tour the everglades, where i took some beautiful pictures.
