i don't know if anyone has posted this already but i just got the e-mail.
here's a very disturbing story about jehovah's witnesses called, "jehovah's witnesses call all members family.
" it paints a very rosy picture of the organization.
this is cool.
It bothers me that most non JW's really don't see the "inside" ways of JW's. They only see the outside. They may see this clean mug (religion)...but in reality it's filthy on the inside. (ewwww) My in-laws (non-JW's) have no clue. And even though we showed them they still can't grasp to what extent. They know/knew how "not right" the religion is, but that's about it.
I hope something comes from this. Maybe we can "stop" more people becoming trapped in this.

Well, I got off the phone with my parents. I'm so tired. I spent over 2 hours showing them stuff. I gave them an example. I asked them that if it *was* a punishment from Jehovah, then what is it when the Amish shun? Or when the Mormons punish? Would THAT be a punishment from God? Guess what...I got no response. I even tried to get them to answer but they wouldn't. They'd just say, well we aren't Amish's or Mormons...we're JW's.
Then I asked, if you tell a child from infancy that the color blue was red. And every day you pointed to blue but told that child, "sweetie, this is red". When that child grows up, what will it believe? Mom said, of course the child would say it was red. She said but that's not what is happening here and that was a bad example. I told her that my point is you can be taught one thing when in fact it's another.
Ok...I'm tired...going to go to sleep and rest my brain. It's hurting.
it's the most money i've spent on a toy since as long as i can remember, a little over $300.
i spun it around on the floor a bit (like the video said i was supposed to) and in about 3 minutes of that, i managed to crash it -- into my own leg, no less -- and break off the thingy that holds on the blades.

No, he doesn't seem disabled. But he's like a little puppy, he'll just follow the person around that he is near too at that moment. He's never been able to stand up for HIMSELF. Maybe this will wake him up and start thinking.
And yes, I agree, we need just one month with nothing major in it. It's wearing on us.

This didn't make sense so I'll explain a little more. The elders will believe me over him since they are DF'd. At least that's what I will hope for. He's DF'd and so he's got that label and I don't. (man don't I feel dirty)
