Are you going to keep these posts up? I'm planning on doing an aposta blitz email/letter campaign to some of my more open minded ex-friends when the "trumpet blasts" study rolls around. I'd really like to know when that is.

Leaving the JW's was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. It would have been so much easier to just tow the line and lead a double life like all of my old ex-friends.

The Witnesses try to take your very motivations and piss on them when you leave. I saw them do it to others who had left before I had, and it made me sick.

I'm WAY happier now, but it took me a while to get here..

and honestly, how big did they think her boobs were giong to get?

I heard that all of the woman on the mothers side have incredibly huge breasts.

i decided to take the advice of some of you here when i wrote about my situation.. i am married, but my wife is a die hard witness.

despite me showing her mountains of evidence and her actually accepting it, she is regressing back into jw think.. this has happened since i stopped mentioning anything anti-jw.. now she thinks that my problems with jw's were just a phase because i am not bringing up the issue anymore.. i really want to leave this religion, but i can't do that without losing her.. many here i know are trapped and some are still serving as elders.

i don't know how you do it, but i guess routine is routine.

Hey, welcome to reality Abandoned! Great to hear you are reading this book, I also recommend "The Blind Watchmaker" and of course the classic, "The Selfish Gene".

One point that really sticks out for me from "The God Delusion" is Dawkin's compassion for those who don't understand evolution and who choose not to because of religion. He mentioned how it is such a tragedy for people to live and die and never understand the wondrous process of evolution.

Hi Satanus, I think what Frank is saying is that if a tribe could deduce that milk was fatally harmful then why would they continue to ingest it at all anyway, why would they need to adapt. Is this correct Frank?

concerning the 2nd coming of christ i'll say this.. nobody understood the first coming.

what makes you think those people knew anything at all about a 2nd coming?

if any part of the bible messege wasn't garbled it's clear the apostles and 1st century christians who should have/might have been privvy to information of this nature didn't know squat!
