Dr Sohom has definitely got a point there, about psychopaths having better forward-planning than sociopaths, because Lloyd seems to have been very strategic over the years. He has known exactly who he could afford to alienate and discard and who to keep onside and use. To get dozens of people to work for him for free, and for them to feel that it was a good setup, while at the same time disguising the trail of destruction, must involve an impressive set of interpersonal skills.

So what went wrong? Perhaps he simply overreached himself, and his past finally caught up with him. It’s like that woman with the fake blood tests who built a company worth billions of pounds—eventually reality finally caught up with her and the whole façade fell apart.

On the other hand Lloyd is still making a feisty display of carrying on regardless. It looks like a pretty hopeless endeavour, but with his track record of fooling people he obviously still believes he has a chance of weathering this storm.

I like the fact that more people have now watched Kim Silvio’s response with Andrew Gold than watched the original interview. People are getting tired of listening to a liar obfuscate.

He’s obviously been inflating his patron numbers with false accounts because it’s simply impossible that the number hasn’t gone down further since his interview with Andrew Gold. Good, I hope it’s costing him a lot in fees to prop up the number. He paraded one new patron the other day with a level of enthusiasm that tells you they are probably the only new one in months, and probably only because they somehow missed the scandal.

His dwindling band of patrons are obviously suffering from cognitive dissonance because they are not yet ready to accept that they made a mistake and wasted their money on this fraud.

I think he just inhabits his own world where the truth is disconnected from reality and functions as whatever he thinks he can get away with saying in any given conversation.

It seems bizarre to us that he will admit seeing sex workers in Thailand one minute and then call people racist for assuming he saw sex workers in Thailand the next. But in his mind, he still has the moral high ground because, even though he did see sex workers in Thailand, he accuses people of making that assumption on the basis of a racist notion of “what Thailand is all about”. So in his mind he’s all ready to engage in an argument that people can go to Thailand for other reasons, whereas any sane person involved in the conversion realises that it’s completely irrelevant that he, or other people, can theoretically go to Thailand for other reasons. It’s completely beside the point, unless you are tuned into his particular version of reality where the possibility that some people might make generalisations about Thailand is somehow more important than the fact that he himself already admitted that he saw sex workers in Thailand.

It’s a blatant attempt to change the conversation from what he did into a conversation about whether Thailand has more to offer than sex services. The moment he attempted this ruse during his interview with Andrew Gold is quite interesting to watch. Lloyd embarks on the “racist assumptions” diversion full of gusto, but he is completely deflated, almost crestfallen, when he realises that Andrew Gold is simply not buying it, and instead insists on a conversation based on the facts, not theoretical assumptions.

He is so disconnected from reality he has no awareness of how pathetic his attempted manipulation sounds to other people.

Andrew Gold was initially friendly with him and had every intention of being supportive. Only when he realised that the reaction from exJWs was 100% negative and when he started sending him threats did Andrew Gold begin to see him for who he really is.

So many people who were very supportive of him in the past, including “JW Beliefs Explained”, Vincent Deporter, and Javier Ortiz, have seen his true face over the past few months.

Yes I knew about stealing Neil’s book idea too, and charging people to be included in the book, which I have never heard of any reputable author doing, ever.

He also apparently fell out with Stephen Knight because Knight didn’t agree with him over the statue-pulling-down issue, then tried to alienate Knight from Michael Shermer over it. The details of that might be wrong—I only half picked it up from Andrew Gold’s podcast, although the basic idea of falling out with someone over a minor difference of opinion and then trying to get others to exclude the person, seems to be his modus operandi.

He has always had a talent for “churning” out a lot of content. Even when he started on this forum I thought it was impressive the number of words he could write in a day, as well as respond to new stories lightning fast. It was always quantity over quality, but some people obviously weren’t put off.

The link to the old thread (where Lloyd Evans outed people in Facebook, then called them liars, then ignored them) reminds me of something I wrote that still stands today.

I am not surprised how Cedars has acted to be honest. But I am really a bit disappointed in Paul Grundy and Lee Marsh. Paul has said next to nothing about the Facebook fiasco and the effect it has had on people's lives. In fact he still has a link to the Facebook page on his JWFACTS website. That is a poor show in my view. Misplaced loyalty or a lack of a spine I don't know.

Lloyd Evans has traded on the respectability others gave him, to cover up his appalling treatment of others, from the beginning. There is still a video on his channel celebrating “10 years” where Paul Grundy is the main cheerleader. A lot of the people in the video, probably the majority, have now distanced themselves from Lloyd Evans, but it’s still up there. Maybe if Paul Grundy asked for it to be removed then it would come down.
