That’s what Mark O’Donnell, Kim Silvio, other YouTubers, and collaborators, and hundreds of his former Patrons have already concluded. There’s no need to wait for any of that to be investigated, the facts are in, and the strange live stream admission has already been delivered. There’s already more than enough information to draw a reasonable conclusion about the harm he has been doing and would continue to do if enabled to do so by his shrinking band of supporters.

Digenesister, yes, I think some with (probably justifiably) an axe to grind, forgot Napoleon’s maxim: “never interrupt your enemy while he is making a mistake”. Lloyd was doing a fine job bringing himself down before others got involved.
And yes, his material was inferior, and derivative of those you mentioned.
Wasn’t it Marvin Shilmer who first supported Cedars financially? But withdrew pretty quickly one he got to know Lloyd a bit better. I wonder what he thinks about all this, if he’s still around.

I think the “Marko allegations” only arose after he wrote his book, so if it’s a fabrication, then it could be an elaboration of the details in that book. So not a coincidence after all. If that’s wrong, and the allegations definitely do predate his book, then disregard this comment.
If it’s a false allegation then Kim and Mikey may not have been the source, but they should have been more careful. It’s ironic that, just as Lloyd was digging a hole for himself, they could have thrown him a lifeline of sorts, as he will surely focus exclusively on false allegations, if they are false, in order to distract everyone from the things he admitted in his livestream.

I think some JWs do interpret it that way, but tend to keep it on the lowdown.
It must be terribly confusing for JWs in this situation because on the one hand there are quotes from the literature that say you can talk, just not about spiritual things, and on the other hand we’ve had recent videos advising not to even answer the phone.
Many JW parents with long term DFed children probably made their mind up a long time ago where they draw the line and tend to stick to it despite vacillating Watchtower instructions.
One of the cruel aspects of shunning practice is precisely that Watchtower have put out ambiguous statements on how to implement it. Because it leaves open the window of hope that some parents won’t take a hard line, and if they do take a hard line it calls into question whether their actions come down to Watchtower loyalty or lack of parental love.

Circulation numbers for different versions are not easy to come by. I have tried to research this myself.
King James must be first on the list. I’ve seen estimates of 2 billion copies.
Next is probably the NIV.
The Zondervan site says over 450 million copies of the NIV have sold.

I don’t know if the 450 million figure includes Spanish and Portuguese versions translated from the NIV.
How many English copies of the NWT are there? I don’t think that information is available, only the overall figure for all languages combined.
Other versions don’t tend to have derivative translations from an English base text as the NWT does. The NIV appears to be a partial exception with its Spanish and Portuguese versions. The Jerusalem Bible in English used the previous French version as a guide in disputed passages. But in general major versions tend to be translations from the original Bible languages into the target language.
Whatever way you cut it, the NWT has got to be one of the most printed Bible versions ever, and certainly appears in more foreign translations than any other modern version.

Everlasting life, as JWs understand it, is just life that doesn’t end. So, as mortal beings, they don’t believe you ever “have” it, as such, because no matter how long you live, it is still possible you could die. That’s with the exception of the anointed, because they know they will live forever when they are given immortality.
