  What an interesting idea. But a difficult ask I'd imagine.

  I think there was a brief mention of the different ethnic editions of the magazines in the video about Gilead called something like "To the ends of the earth". Maybe something in the Proclaimers book too or some magazine articles. But actually getting a hold of back issues of these different ethic editions. Good luck!

  the markets are already in free fall and the moronic bigots who campaigned for this are celebrating the demise of our country .. i can't see how a 49-51% split can be democratic?

  In 1963 the US statesman Dean Acheson made the observation that "Great Britain has lost an Empire and has not yet found a role". This is still the position to some extent more than 50 years later. For some time the Westminster elite decided it had found its role as supporters of US militarism around the world. But many in the UK have not been happy with playing this role, especially in Scotland. Many in Scotland now want to be a normal self-governing country within the EU. A smaller rUK may also be better able to adjust to being a significant small country, and realise it's a better option than being an increasingly insignificant big country. In time all the nations of the British Isles may be self-governing partners within larger networks such as Europe.

  There are staunch unionists like Alex Massie who are now talking about supporting indepdendence..

  David Torrance says all his friends (many Scottish Tories) are switching sides.

  I've got two loudmouth Facebook unionist friends who have now switched sides.

  There are rumours of a brand new poll putting support for indepdendence at 59% with only 32% against.

  If these are any indication things could happen pretty fast. Maybe months rather than years.

  I am shocked.

  Oh well, indepdendence here we come! And sooner than I thought.

  I would have preferred rUK as a fellow indepdendent country within the EU. Maybe in time they will reconsider.

  I was also told by an elder (a few years ago now) that we are very close to Armageddon, and his number one proof was the fact that gay marriage is beginning to be accepted by "the world".

  It struck me then and it strikes me now how completely warped a view of the world that is. To believe in a God who is not moved to intervene in human affairs to stop a wars that waste millions of lives, or toruture, or slavery, or genocides, or tsunamis that kill hundreds of thousands. Human history plays out over thousands of years right up until the point when some regions of the earth decide gay marriage is a thing. And it is at that point that the God of whole universe steps in and says: that's enough! And he brings on Armageddon to stop the "madness".

  It's in conversations like that when I realise most of all there is simply no point discussing issues with some people. Their view on the world is so completely different that there is no reasonable point of contact to build upon.
