Not good news for anyone. I think it's unfair or uninformed to say JWs or JW leadership "crave" this scenario. They've worked very hard to avoid it and generally pursue good relations with all governments. -

slimboyfat & blondie made news on newshub.com
by LevelThePlayingField ini know, how do i find this stuff, right?
the article is long, so just do a ctrl-f then type in your name... also jehovahs-witness.com mentioned in this article.
"theocratic warfare" is a contentious theological doctrine of the jehovah's witness (jw) movement in christianity.. .

Thanks for the additional suggestions on how to select a book. We could compile a book from this valuable information! Trying to distract us with boobs the beach OnTheWayOut was a sneaky tactic, but we remain focused on then task at hand. -

Maybe I'm Just Ignorant About the New "Anti-Gay" Video

It's not a democracy no, but you miss the point.
Societal and even governmental pressure may come to bear on JWs and other religious groups to stop victimising gay people. You have said JWs won't change despite such pressure because it would destroy the organisation. My point is: that is only true if a majority of JWs still oppose accepting gay people. If that is no longer true, and a majority support gay people, there would no longer any reason to supposer the change will destroy the organisation. In fact at some point the pressure to change may exceed the pressure not to change. What they choose to do at that point will be intersting, if we get there.

Increased acceptance of gay relationships in society will have an opposite effect on the Watchtower. They pride themselves on being "no part of the world".
What about increasing acceptance among JWs themselves? Up from 12% to 16% between 2007 and 2014. What happens if/when more JWs approve than oppose? -

I love books; I always have. They are my life and my livelihood. And many Jehovah's Witnesses, when they leave the religion, they think to themselves, "I'd like to read a book". But they often don't know which book to read. I'm here to offer some advice on how to choose a book.
1. To be specific you should start by reading any book called "How to Avoid Huge Ships".
2. Books containing delusions or Foucault's pendulum are obviously mistaken or double entendres. If they can be read against the grain they may be satisfying.
3. Books about trees are good to read, if a little self-referential. The exception to this rule is if the book is about climbing trees in central London. In this case it is a boring book to be avoided, like a huge ship.
4. Books that start on page 1 are usually better than books that start on pages 3 or 5, or a higher number. And any books that begins on pages 2 or 4 should definitely be avoided, as you would avoid a huge ship as per previous reading.
5. It's good if the book can balance well on the edge of the bath. Otherwise the book will fall in the bath, become wet and be very difficult to read.
6. Books that have won prizes are good to read. The Templeton prize in particular is a good indicator that these are titles worth looking out for in book shops or online. Books that are given as prizes on the other hand are not often good to read.
6.B Books with darker font can be easier to read when the light is poor or when travelling in a moving vehicle.
7. If you go to a public library and look for a good book to read you will find that the best books are the ones that are not there because other people have already borrowed them. To avoid this problem go to the library a day early and look for good books before other people borrow them.
8. 1001 books you must read before you die. To the making of books about lists there is no end. And much devotion to them is wearisome during the days of your flesh. They also tend to be too heavy to read comfortably sitting up in bed.
9. Books about Jehovah's Witnesses fall into three categories, both of which can be confused with the other unless you look at the barcode. These can be interesting, if you know what you are reading already from other books.
9 3/4 Books containing transportation advice cannot always be relied upon to give accurate information about departure and arrival locations. An exception to this rule is the man sitting in seat 61.
10. Marx said: outside of a dog a book is the working man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read, and too expensive for the proletariat to afford lighting.
Ultimately if you cannot find a good book to read the best thing to do is write a book yourself and then read it. Everyone has got a book inside them, "but in most cases that's where it should stay" - Christopher Hitchens.

Very, very doubtful this would ever happen. Whilst there is a very slim chance they could sell something to Western Witnesses at some point in the future, don't forget that there are large contingents of Witnesses in countries where homosexuality is still fighting be be legal let alone tolerated or accepted. They would never risk the schism.
I totally see why it seems unlikely. JWs have along track record of being totally opposed to gay rights. But consider the huge shift of public opinion that has occurred. Personally I was not particularly in favour of gay marriage a decade ago. I thought it was a weird idea more than anything. Then I found out a local brother was gay and what he went through. I thought a lot about the issue and concluded there was no rational or ethical reason to deny gay people the exact same rights as everyone else. Many other people are apparently coming to the same conclusion at the same time. The change is absolutely huge. In the United States it changed from something like 40% support to 60% support in around a decade. And the trend continues. Even among Jehovah's Witnesses the trend is toward acceptance of gay people. If that trend continues it will reach a point where most people think JWs should change, including JWs themselves! At that point what will the GB do? It's like an irresistible force hitting an immovable object, but something has to give.

Because both the OT and the NT explicitly condemn gay sex. There is no sensible way to get around that.
There are plenty of sensible Christians who do interpret the Bible that way. Why shouldn't JWs join them?
If the pressure becomes great enough they probably will.
