first of all, i would like to thank everyone who responded to my first posting regarding the hidden images thing.
i will admit that, after re-reading my initial post, i sounded like some sort of a paranoid alarmist, and i really did deserve the flack i received from some of you folks.. let me just say that there probably isn't a single x-jw who doesn't feel as though they have been duped to some degree with regard to the so-called "bible truth" they received while serving the organization.
many x-jws firmly use the terms "manipulation", "fear", "deception", and even more .
>...someone just trying to amuse themselves in the art department. >I would imagine after working in the art department at bethel for a >few years one would try to find something/anything to amuse themselves... These illustrations stretch over several years, and you really believe that all this time those "funny" guys at the art department are/were getting away with having their fun without being called to order? This in such a heavily controlled environment like the WTS?

i'm trying to find a site that contains the actual lyrics of all the kingdom melodies.
i have a theory that many contain words that subliminally influence the way that jw's think.
i believe that the singing and repetition of these words actually results in a type of self-imprinting brain-washing.. if anyone knows of such a site or is able to contribute some typical instances of the afore mentioned subliminal influences i would much appreciate it.. englishman.

Careful
You might be held for a "Crackpot" by the likes of "rem" and his sort for believing in subliminals...
i am a disfellowshipped brother and have never had a problem with the organization's doctrines.
i am, however, deeply disturbed at the undeniable use of hidden or subliminal images in the illustrations of the wt publications.
there are so many that it cannot be interpreted as anything other than a deliberate pattern.
>...Do you believe in this subliminal image stuff? Just curious.
What would you care? Since my opinion "stinks"...

>...You are right, there are no crackpots or rationoal JW's. All ideas are of equal validity and none should be criticized.
Calling someone a "crackpot" won't help being taken seriously if you want to discuss this subject.
But I don't think you want to.You just like to pontificate and stuff *your* truth down someone's throat.
Did you really leave the JW's ? I don't think so...
>Excuse me if I think your opinion stinks. :)
Apologies accepted, and don't hurt yourself too much while thinking.
Have a nice day...
Oh and by the way,it's rational not "rationoal",I guess you were a bit emotional
when you typed your response :-)

>Wow! Crackpot, anyone? This guy really believes that subliminal images somehow undermines free will...
Wow! Insulting post anyone?
Read the rules of this board, rem, before you put down others for having another opinion
that does not agree with yours...
>...Any rational JW...
Being a JW *and* rational? I don't think so...

i'm feeling very antsy, i've been waiting for a much bigger "other shoe to drop" since 9/11.. i don't know if it's all the years of the apocalyptic jw thinking but i still live with a haunting fear that the whole works is headed for a spectacular crash.
i wonder how helpless chinese villagers felt when they saw ghenghis khan's hordes on the horizon heading toward them.

Haters of *what?*
this week i ran into 2 people (on the same day) that i know, don't know each other, and they both talked about conspiracies and the role of the "illumanati" and the belief in "gray aliens".
the one that knew i was a witness congratulated me for my decision to stop attending meetings and believing in the witnesses.

>...Has anyone read the Robert Anton Wilson books, especially the series 'Cosmic Trigger, and the secrets of the Illuminati'?
I read them about 15 years ago,or at least,I *tried* to read them.I gave up on them somewhere halfway;they where just
too unreadable.I prefer his non-fiction books,I read most of them and his "Prometheus Rising" was his best...

The best sort of invasion and takeover is the one that goes unnoticed,
because this way the enslaved will
never feel the need to rebel against the oppressor,
hence no need for death rays etc ...
Strange that no one has yet mentioned "Nutter" David Icke ...
