  silly half-awake experiences

  lol i don't know about you guys but i do silly stuff while i am half awake and in my sleep.. this morning i woke up at about 4-5am and heard "ding-dong!

  " i thought 'omg!

  it's like 4am somebody must be screwing with our heads!

  yesh.

  i will hear the doorbell, or the phone ring. i'll check the call history and no call came through, so i know it didn't happen. i wonder what it means when you hear bells. interesting... (ponders this)

  LOL I've heard the phone ring in my sleep too. I even pick up the phone in my sleep and wake up going "Hello? Hello? Anybody there?"

  Oh, I did also beat someone up in a dream (no I am not violent ever, but he very very VERY much deserved this) Well in my dream I was stomping the guy into the ground and I woke up laying sideways on the bed, still kicking and flailing, and had kicked the lamp off the table (totally killed it) and overturned the table and everything else on it. Besides the damage, it was pretty funny!!!!

  Teh other night, I was awakened by a baby wimpering. Only problem, there should most definitely not be any babies in my abode. I lay there trying to figure this out for a bit, and then moved my leg over only to feel my cat sleeping at the foot of my bed. I listened more carefully, and sure enough, the cat was having a bad dream, I suppose, because he was making the most pathetic little wimpering sounds.

  I hate it when that happens My doggie does that alot and makes little whimpering sounds and her legs move around a bit like shes running in her dream. I always feel sooo bad for her & go wake her up and cuddle with her.

  LOL I bet that was confusing till you figured out what it was

  and behind the front desk, i see someone who looks familiar.. only when she turns and looks at me do i realize she is a witness i know.. so the lady who did my bible study, it's her daughter that is working with me.

  i just find it funny...you just can't run and you definitely can't hide from these people!.

  Hey!! CONGRATS again!!!
  I really enjoyed dentistry. If there is one thing I would do differently, though... I would have started my college carreer MUCH sooner than age 32. Even if you only take one class at a time - and that's quite doable - start now. You will be so pleased with yourself.

  I think I will like it, too. I am excited. Especially about the $$$$$$

  My mom was a dental assistant for I don't even know how many years. She basically had jobs that consisted of working on people from the neck up She was also a hairdresser and had her own beauty salon.

  I will go to college pretty soon probably...I took one class in 2003 at the local college because "homeschooled" students can take college classes. It was kinda fun.

  and behind the front desk, i see someone who looks familiar.. only when she turns and looks at me do i realize she is a witness i know.. so the lady who did my bible study, it's her daughter that is working with me.

  i just find it funny...you just can't run and you definitely can't hide from these people!.

  About the witness at the front desk. I want to strongly encourage you to start early to train her to not discuss her religion nor criticize yours. You can pretty much bet that either she, or her mother, or others in the congregation will witness to you on the job. Remember that YOU hold the key to how much pressure they will put on you and the sooner you squelch it, the easier it will be.

  I hope she won't be too pushy, I am very shy and put up with alot and I mean ALOT before I tell someone they're bothering me. I really hope just not responding to it does the trick if she brings it up.

  people who abuse children are the absolute worst . oh, her rationale? he had it "too soft" and abusing him would "toughen him up" and "help him get through life". what a pig.

  I'd like to "TOUGHEN HER UP" and "HELP HER GET THROUGH LIFE" a little bit... What a sick freak to do that to the little kids!!!!!!

  I had a sleep disorder three years ago, where I was having night terrors. I had a sleep study done...they freaked cause I would be in REM sleep, where you are not supposed to sbe able to move etc and I would sit up and freak....LOL Least I was an intersting sleep study.

  Sheila, do/did you sit up in your sleep alot or was it only during the night terrors?

  I sleep sitting up at least half the night..Almost everytime someone here gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, if they see me, I am asleep sitting up. I constantly wake up and my legs are completely asleep and know I've been sitting there indian style when that happens. I have also been known to sleep curled up in a ball with my legs underneath, hugging my legs. That really sucks because when ya wake up both your arms and legs are asleep and if you get ouf of bed ya fall on the floor and can't get up or use your arms to get off the floor

  Not to hijack, but have you ever controlled your dreams? By that I mean a dream is going a certain way, perhaps into nightmare area and you redirect it. I learned how to while I was in therapy. Empowering and way cool all at the same time.

  Dreams are fascinating to me.

  Well I used to do that, sort of. I would think about something I wanted to dream about while I was falling asleep and when i was all the way asleep the dream took on the scenerio I was imagining. I used to make myself have x-files dreams where I was an agent with Mulder and Scully and it was FUN!!!!

  This morning I woke up at about 4-5am and heard "ding-dong!" I thought 'OMG! it's like 4am somebody must be screwing with our heads! Maybe the stalker guy is out of prison!!" For a second I got really scared expecting someone to walk in our door in the middle of the night, and then I ran and woke up my dad and said "Dad somebody just rang the doorbell!!" He said "Punky, we haven't had a doorbell in years."... So I was totally hearing stuff LOL!!

  Anybody else do silly stuff like that when they're half awake?

  best of luck missy, just don't let her first contact outside of job duties be that "Linda would you be interested in a Bible study? No pressure or anything...."...If she goes there cut it off and if you get uncomfortable about it afterwards then speak to your boss. Harrassment is not fun.

  Luckily I think my mom does know enough about the witnesses to not agree to a Bible study..I am just worried she will be polite and it will be percieved as being interested in a study and it will be uncomfortable for her.

  But I will talk to her about it.
