And WTF is a light aperture?
I have wondered about this also. Any takers?
here are a few comments that i overheard at this week's book study (of the third chapter of the bible teach book), and the thoughts i had after hearing them: .
conductor: "as food shortages become more and more common as the time of the end advances, they will make excellent field service points since they were predicted by the bible.
me: great.
And WTF is a light aperture?

i am looking for a resource to a point for point response to the trinity brochure.
also, i can't believe i'm going to ask this, but how can i get an acutal copy of the thing without contacting the wts is some manner?
thx again for your help.
I would recommend Why You Should Believe in the Trinity by Robert Bowman. The best book point by point refutation of the Trinity brochure I have seen.
For a detailed disertation on the Trinity I would recommend Robert Morey's The Trinity: Issues & Evidences.
.
if you have seen it, praise it or pan it.. i am interested in wht the non-professionals have to say.. i am planning on seing it saturday night.
I saw it on Tuesday night, and the book was better.
There was only one reason to cast Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon. Box office draw. To bad he gave the most wooden job I've seen.
I thought that Ian McClellan played his typical character, a pompous old Brit.
The girl that played Sophie was OK.
OK, I saw it, and I'll stick with the book.
No, Robdar Nexflix the Lost Season 1 DVDs, and as soon as they are out get Season 2. You won't be sorry.
Finally TV that does not play to the "Survivor" mentality.
They were speaking portuguese. I am 100% certain of this as I know many portuguese speaking people and picked up some words along the way.
I can by that. Portugeuse, while being a Romance language, has a different ring to it than Spanish, Italian or French. Don't ask me to defend that point, it's totally subjective.
P retty good series, for American producers.
What's up with that? Jealous of the fact that American TV finally made a TV series that rivals, and in some cases is better than anything on Euro-vision?
Bryan, I will have to watch it again, but I think they were speaking Spanish. The two scientists in the Pole were not speaking Spanish, I'm 99% sure it was Italian.
That would make sense since I only caught certain words that are similar. I have to wait until tonight when I watch it again.
Bryan, I will have to watch it again, but I think they were speaking Spanish.I'm fairly certain it was Russian they were speaking.
I thought so also, but I could swear that I heard some Spanish. Like I said it's quite possible that I am wrong.
I believe Penny's father has a lot to do with this. The two Russians knew what signal to look for. They recieved the signal and said something about "missing it AGAIN".
Bryan, I will have to watch it again, but I think they were speaking Spanish.
Why does Penelope have two guys in the arctic (or antarctic) monitoring electromagnetic fields?
Remember when she caught up to Desmond at the stadium? She told him, when asked how she found Desmond, that there is nothing that money & determination can't find.
Why did Charlie ;come back from the hatch with a grin and a smirk not knowing what happened to John, Eko and Desmond? It seems to me a normal person would have searched for survivors after such an event.
He responded to Claire's question, with the question, "They haven't shown up yet?" That seems to indicate to me that the hatch did not explode.
I have been trying to get into Fuselage.com to see what's being written there, but it seems to have crashed. I haven't tried the other Lost DBs yet.
I was really disappointed with the episode. Maybe I misunderstood the trailer after "3 Minutes" two weeks ago, which seemed to indicate that questions would be answered.
OK, some questions were. The blast door map was not Desmond's, the island is haven for some sort of electro-magnetic anomoly (which would explain why they can't leave the island & possibly Locke's & the black lady's "healings"), it even explains the drug smuggling plane & The Black Rock.
What was not explained were the black smoke entities, the polar bear & that green bird (the one Hurley thought had called his name).
our congregation has really gone down in recent months.
the friends don't talk to each other, there have been many disfellowshippings and jc's.. an elder i was talking to in the kh after the meeting says that "he and the other elders would like to have a congregation picnic but can't because bethel disapproves of large social gatherings.".
i looked at this elder and felt sorry for him - it was like hearing a child cry because mother wouldn't let him outside to play baseball.. the cong.
Control, control, control. That's what it's all about.
And all these years I thought it was all about the hokey-pokey!
