well for anyone following my saga, he wrote back, and I am VERY unsure weather I should even reply.
Here is what he wrote:

He is being a bit of an ass...that is really uncalled for. I wish to drop it, but he thinks he's ahead, and he is. He gets to hold the high cards because he knows that he has more power in this case. Of course, I could go ahead and really lay it on him, but that would be the same as saying, "Well, its been nice being in your family, but from here on out, lets never talk, and make any family and business obligations very awkward, BYE." Then, of course any previous witness freind would be filtered out. I would look like an idiot..one of those people you knew that left the truth and THEY were the stupid ones.....

It must be nice to KNOW that you are serving god thru HIS organization, and that people are either good or evil, based on their belief in this organization....sux for us though...

do you think it's a good idea if the state puts tight controls on cult like organisations like the jws and many others, eg to control the power of their judicial committees or have warnings in their books/mags or even kingdom halls that they use in them mind control techniques?
or warnings about the consequences of leaving the wts after baptism.
the jc are secretive kangaroo courts made up of incompetent people taking decisions against adults but even against under age children that can have destructive consequences on their lives.
An elder was just at my house this afternoon, and he told me that the governments are turning on religion. If they do ANYTHING negotive to the witnesses, they will consider it proper persecution. They expect it and look forward to it. This will strengthen the faith of many. They would say, "its about time!".
That does not imply that I would oppose such a thing, only that the above would happen.

Yes, I hope he agrees to let us believe what we believe, and him his.
And yes, I dont know for sure about my belief in God. Why would he stand by while everyone is dying, if he could do something? But, then, who created everything? I dont like the JW answer..so my feelings are the only thing left...and as I said in the email...why would I worship a god that uses my life, and all lives, to prove his point?

Yeah, I agree, kinda rude, expecially cause my wife and I were barely dressed for cryin out loud......My wife exused herself, and did not come back....she hates thier visits...I like to hear whats new....this time was different because of the discussion with my bro in law. It may not be obvious, but you can tell he is starting to get upset in his emails......name calling (APOSTATE) and all.....
