Well, no matter what she said, it's obvious that you're getting through to her. Now, it's a slow process of her wanting to know more. Don't force-feed her. Mentions here and there, a casual discussion can always be good.

i forwarded the press release to my jw friend yesterday afternoon and we talked about later that evening when i saw her.
i could see that she was confused and somewhat bewildered.
she first wanted to know more details about the case itself and when i supplied them, she became even more confused.

the jws have some peculiar rules regarding doing things with the opposite sex.
truly, the most bizzare one has to be the one about if a "brother" is driving along and he sees a "sister" waiting for a bus and he offers her a ride, in most cases he will make her sit in the backseat.
even more likely, the "sister" will turn down the ride because it may "stumble" someone who may see them together.
LOL. In Jersey, not too far from Funchy, we really had no rule like that. It wasn't a common thing to do, but most of the sisters were ugly as hell, and so no-one with a half of a brain cell would complain about a geriatric carting around a really ugly chick in the front seat. LOL. Besides, a man in our halls knew better than to fool around with another Witty....the gossip mill is worse than a hair salon.
Still, I did hear stories about parents making driving rules for their kids when they dated....and you know what? They may not have sat next to each other in the car, but I guess that's why the good lord made soft, fluffy beds for sex......

smile a little smile for me, rosemarie, rosemarie.

James Taylor....Sweet Baby James. My mom sang it to me when I was a baby.....funny how I still remember that.
There is a young cowboy he lives on the range
His horse and his cattle are his only companions
He works in the saddle and he sleeps in the canyons
Waiting for Summer, his pastures to change
And as the moon rises he sits by his fire
Thinking about women and glasses of beer
And closing his eyes as the doggies retire
He sings out a song which is soft but it's clear
As if maybe someone could hear
(Chorus)
Goodnight you moonlight ladies
Rockabye sweet baby James
Deep greens and blues are the colors I choose
Won't you let me go down in my dreams
And rockabye sweet baby James
Now the first of December was covered with snow
And so was the turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston
Lord, the Berkshires seemed dream - like on account of that frosting
With ten miles behind me and ten thousand more to go
There's a song that they sing when they take to the highway
A song that they sing when they take to the sea
A song that they sing of their home in the sky
Maybe you can believe it if it helps you to sleep
But singing works just fine for me
(Chorus)
Goodnight you moonlight ladies
Rockabye sweet baby James
Deep greens and blues are the colors I choose
Won't you let me go down in my dreams
And rockabye sweet baby James

on the radio tonight i heard about a child sold for a small color tv into slave labor.
the people on the radio, they laughed.
how the hell is that funny?
Why are we so greedy?
I guess our luxury is very common to us. We have never really experienced real suffering, and that good luck has made us coarse to other people less fortunate than us....same old story. Not too many people are philanthropists, because they want every dollar for a new hairstyle, new clothes, ot a new sports car. Many rich people just don't give a damn, and they don't think that they need an excuse.
It's sucks, I know.
I also thought about helping out at an abuse shelter, and hit the same wall. I'm not afriad of working hard, only not being qualified enough to help hurt people. Their pain could cause me to crack, and when we have responsibilities, like you and I both do, you will not give as much of yourself to others. It's just the way of things.
And I am worrying about paying my car insurance, how pathetic of me.
Not pathetic, dude. You're a single mom in a tough economy...worrying about car insurance sounds like a pretty sensible thing to me.
BTW, I sent you an email. I'll be up for awhile...the little lady is watching the Charmed premiere...LOL.

a friend gave me permission to post this.
i think it's a good letter, it might help others formulate their thoughts; she understands it may not be read or considered deeply, but things can't get much worse with her family at this point anyway.
no contact is not that much different than contact once per year or less, and sometimes it's just really important to have the people who should know you, at least know you a little.
Brilliant letter. Really poured the heart out on that one. Good for her.

i got a new peircing, a monroe.
or madonna in some circles... .
i have been getting mixed reviews, but i like it.
Looks cute, dude. As long as you keep the stud small, it'll be a great accent to your face.

"find the man's head within 3 seconds and you're a genius!
according to medical experiments: if you can find the man's head within 3 seconds, your right brain is developed better than normal.
if you can find the man's head within 1 minute, your right brain is developed normally.
Five seconds....do I win a piece of pie?

i have some unique and troubling news.
i just got off the telephone with scott boer, vicki boer's husband and before that vicki.
her honour, justice anne molloy, has just ruled on the legal cost issue in the boer case.
Man, there's gotta be something we can do. They don't have a right to ruin your life when you've had such a hard time already....we gotta think of something.

Tell her to move to the USA, then. I'd think she find at least a little more sympathy for her cause here. She also could stick O Canada and the WT for the cash.
No judge with a half-a-conscience would impose penalties on rape victims.

the jws always give a lengthly explanation as to why they don't celebrate christmas or birthdays, and then always add the final statement "besides, we give gifts throughout the year!".
yeah, right!
okay, lets get an unofficial count of all the people who actually did get gifts on other days of the year.
0. Unless it was an occasion...
Anniversary, Graduation, Wedding...and even then, you find more stingy people than generous ones. For my Graduation, I received a couple of inexpensive presents and 36$. One of my friends, who kissed all of the JW ass, got over a thousand, and none of it was from family. You had to be connected to get anything worthwhile on those three occasions.
