I imagine here is where a few of the former JWs have taken a deep breath and said to themselves "where do I start?". In very brief, raised in "the truth", parents baptized, sister baptized. I eventually sought "worldly education" (got a college degree) and have lived a life outside of the religion. The effects of this "way of life" have been rippled and compounding. Eventually, I will take the hour or so to explain in detail of how my family was ripped apart and how even still today, my heart aches because of the beliefs it teaches.
