hello all, i've been reading your site for a couple of years now, and have found, for the most part, it to be very helpful.

i must say, at first i was very "scared" at what i might find, but contrary to what i grew up learning, there is a "wealth" of information outside of the watchtower organization.

i haven't attended meetings for about two years now, and like many i've read about, have spent many hours researching, telling myself "i'm not wrong for searching", and doing more research.

Isnt it so cool that God hid the chronological support for 607, in fact so well hidden that only Russel and Rutherford could figure it out and even they were a little confused; ok they ended up being extemely confused.

I just think its really great that everything about the end times was hidden from the whole world, essentially speaking, so that the only way we could figure it out was through archaeological digs etc along with secular writings and the holy spirit operating on the WTS.

It really gives me a warm fuzzy feeling all over knowing God loves riddles, puzzles and mazes so much he was able to dupe 99.9 percent of the world.

the local needs talk on thursday discussed a few different things, according to my mom.

but the one that stood out most was that he announced that based on the new book, the elders will be checking on those that have not been associating with the congregation for some time.

they will ask, "do you still want to be a jehovah's witness?

So - be aware that if you get a phone call... there's always 'two' of 'em there.

Its hard to believe they would be so sneaky about the whole deal.

that the sacrifice of jesus' perfect human life paid back the debt of the perfect human life which our forefather adam had forfeited.. but is it truly a 'corresponding sacrifice'?.

What I always wondered as a jw was did Jesus really have to die the horrible death he did or could he have lived to a ripe old age and died of natural causes and provided the same ransom or did God like the idea of a human sacrifice?

In the process scholar demonstrated and finally admitted his complete ignorance of Biblical languages, which puts his ongoing apology of the "brilliant" NWT in perspective.

To a very dim bulb any light is brilliant by Scholars standards maybe.

I take it your a Christian Leo? Do you plan to live in heaven or on earth? Do you think the bible both old and new testament is inspired and to what degree if any?
