What a drag it is getting old
by prophecor in!.........the days of youth are wasted on the youth, i've heard it said.
the days of our lives, as the scriptures so eloquently put it are 70 years.
i look at the youth of today in their teens to maybe thirty or so, and i have to say to myself, "boy, i wouldn't wish my 20's and 30's on anybody.

NOT!!!.........The days of youth are wasted on the youth, I've heard it said. The days of our lives, as the Scriptures so eloquently put it are 70 years. I look at the youth of today in their teens to maybe thirty or so, and I have to say to myself, "Boy, I wouldn't wish my 20's and 30's on anybody." For me, they were years fraught with gnawing unanswerable questions. I was only begining to see what being an adult was like, and a late bloomer, at that.
Now, my days of Autumn are here in near full glory. I no longer find myself rushing and racing to the next light in life. It feels good to take it easy, and don't let life completely bowl you over. I love my 50's. I have never seen a more authentic self, the more time that I'm allowed to be here on the planet. I've been thru a few things so when life comes crashing down around me, I recognise that storms are gonna' come, but I've chased a few storms in my day as well!!! It feels good to have time be my friend for a change. I want to continue to learn to be more respectful of it. It's been wonderful being here. Thanks for watching.

Do you yearn to know what we are, and why we are here, before you die?
by sabastious inlets face it, we don't know what humans are.
science is doing a good job at uncovering many facts about us, but even science cannot explain consciousness yet.
conciousness is still a strong mystery to us.

I agree God Rulz that the universe is not in relation to God and that we are in a fallen condition. God does not tollerate sin. Christ is our go between to redeem man from his fallen condition until we return to a fully functioning, proper relationship with Almighty God. The universe, creation, is groaning, everyday, awaiting the revealing of the sons' of God. God will return the universe to its proper state, one day.
I'm greatful that he has allowed it to continue down even to this dark hour, as I would have never had an opportunity to be here, or to take advantage of the opprtunity laid before me. There is pain in this life, yes, but the benefits package that comes when we are deemed faithful for having suffered and survived this transitory human existence can never be compared with. This life, with all its toil and toys is but a futile waste at best. What is there in this universe that is beyond having a knowledgeable and goodly working relationship with one's creator? What do you exchange in place of that?

Correction taken and accepted on point: prediction as opposed to prophecy, Nickolas. Can you elaborate, however as to Armstrong's involvement in myticism? The idea of cult will always be suspect as we are products of a cult. Those of the former World Wide Church of God also were not mainstream. Any one not marching to the beat of the status quo will also be judged a cult. I'm willing to accept being called cultish as even Christ defined the fact that there would not be throngs of folk who would come to know him or follow in his footsteps, but only a rare few. Mainstream religion is the wide ride, with too many on board in that theatre of operation.

I was wrong. Wouldn't serve as a hypocrite. Found JWD several years latter, found out how really wrong they were.
