this is my first forum post though i've been out here reading yours for a while.

i didn't know how to post my bio.

i became a jdub at the age of 16. i had a child out-of-wedlock who was 1 year old at the time and i was searching for answers - i wanted my son to have a future and the one the witnesses portrayed was better than anything i'd ever heard!

yep, they were here yesterday, and gwen asked them to come back saturday at 10.. .

Well I always wanted to know why if jesus started his reign in 1914 and just about all of revelation has already happened as explained in the "climax" book (love that word) why we are still going to the memorial that looks forward to him coming??

Also do the 90 or so years that christ has been reigning already come off of the thousand year reign?? Does this mean that those of the remnant here on earth (non GB) get the short end of the stick compared to those "lucky"enough to die right away and start ruling??

Also if a member of the remnant (long standing) decides to go to bethel to help to "govern" why do they assign him to clean toilets to start with instead of inviting him to be a member of the GB??

To those of you who find it disgusting I just have one thing to say. Get over yourself. It isn't about you. And I am not defined by who I sleep with as to my worth as an individual. If you don't "associate" with gay people I can only express my sympathy. You are most likely " associating" with way more gays than you think. We aren't all stereotypical flamers.

i just wondered how many of you are ex jws, left or df'd, how many are still in but have lost heart?.

are there any jws on here who still believe its all the truth, go to meetings and trust the organisation?.

I was in the truth? as a child. I opted out as a teenager(15) seeing it as a bunch of crap. However.. Being a dummy I opted back in with the fear of 75? Stayed in,got married and tried not to think too much. Opted out in 82 with the change in DF'ing rules AGAIN.

if they made a movie about your life among the jehovah's witnesses, and you were the casting director for the movie and money was no object, who would you cast as the members of your congregation; your elders; their wives; the circuit overseer; yourself?

remember, this is a fantasy, so you can have anyone in your cast, alive or dead.. i think robert deniro could play a very good circuit overseer.. i always thought ted knight would make a good elder, especially the one i am thinking of who always put his foot in his mouth on stage.. i haven't thought of who should play me.. how about you?.

Never mind a good elder...He is GB material.I still remember the episode where Ted could not walk,Talk amd chew gum at the same time.
