  DataDog: I'm no fan of totalitarian regimes, but Russia is being a tad hypocritical here.

  Russia has a history of being a totalitarian state under the Soviets.

  They are no longer a Communist country.

  i would think the only christian organization on this planet would be more than willingly send another gb member to australia in order to answer rcs questions, taking the place of jackson who is taking care of his ill farther.

  if someone should show compassion to jackson those are his gb pals.

  I think that redress amounts in Australia for the JW victims are going to exceed that amount by quite a bit.

  If each victim gets only $100,000, the WTS share for 1500 victims (which is not unreasonable - many will come forward or be revealed, and there are multiple victims in many of the cases), that would work out to a $150 million claim against the WTS. That amount is low. It will probably be higher.

  I believe the $100,000 claim per victim to be reasonable based on the payouts established for Residential School Survivors in Canada. And that doesn't account for what civil cases will award to victims.

  Hell, you forgot the biggest one of all. Look what Jehoovah did to that sweet little baby Jesus. He let him grow up and then watched him get nailed to a stick. All bloody and stuff by the time he was dead. Not a very nice daddy, is he? And, he liked Jesus.

  It is time to face the lions, methinks. Let's see if Jackson has the courage to do so or if he will run.

  ARC: why the contstant secrecy?

  anyone watching the inquiry would have heard the org's attorney asking that the documents outlining the stucture and mechanics of the wbts be kept confidential.

  all this subversive and clandestine behavior is not helping their image.

  what do you all suppose is potentially damnimg in these documents?

  SSClass: What do you all suppose is potentially damnimg in these documents? Do you think that awesome judge (I want to hug him) will find premise to have the documents in their entirety made public? I hope so!

  One of the points that the WT lawyer wants to supress is the information regarding the finances of the "publisihing department". He is trying to make the claim that the finances of the publishing department are not pertinent to the proceedings at hand.

  However, Justice McClelland will be reviewing the documents before it is decided if the entire document will be published. I have a sense that financial information of any kind is very relevant - that is what this Commission is doing - establishing restitutional guidelines. Where the WTS spends money should have bearing on their ability to pay for victim recovery and support.

  I am hopeful that Justice McClelland will view financial information as relevant and therefore admissable. I am curious as to how that financial information lines up with the financial statement submitted to the Commission by the WT Branch.

  Lol! I have always hated reality shows but I gotta say, this one rocks! Best ever.

  The Royal Commission is trying to get "Jehovah" on the stand now.

  Who woulda thought? This just gets better and better. I thought the Catholic girl was an interesting casting choice but now...time will tell. I wonder what will happen next.

  day 7 of the australian royal commission has chair justice peter mcclellan raising the point that i have been wondering about all along, which is, how can these elders not report child abuse to the authorities especially when a full confession has taken place?.

  justice mcclellan asked toole, the wts's lawyer, if he is aware that there is a difference between an organisation being required to have mandatory reporting of child abuse to the authorities and misprision which is the concealment of a felony, itself a criminal offence?

  toole says he is aware of it now but he wasn't before!

  Heaven: I'm still trying to wrap my head around how a lawyer can be ignorant of the law.

  I think that they really do believe that Jehovah's law is all that matters. They don't think they have a need to know real law as it operates in the world at large. They truly think that their "divine law" is superior.

  This hearing is actually becoming a standoff between "Jehovah's Law" and "The Law of the Land".

  The Royal Commission has to challenge religious authority. They are into it now. The organizational procedures and policies in the WTS claim to be based on religious authority.

  This should get veerrrry interesting.

  harare, zimbabwe (ap) zimbabwe has accused a pennsylvania doctor of illegally killing a lion in april, as it seeks to extradite a minnesota dentist who killed a well-known lion named cecil in july.. jan casimir seski of murrysville, pennsylvania, shot the lion with a bow and arrow near hwange national park, without approval and on land where it was not allowed, said zimbabwe's national parks and wildlife management authority.. landowner headman sibanda was arrested and is assisting police, it said.. seski, a gynecological oncologist who directs the center for bloodless medicine and surgery at allegheny general hospital in pittsburgh, is a big-game hunter according to safari outfitters and bow-hunting sites.

  kill shots on the sites identify "dr. jan seski" as the man standing next to slain animals including elephants, a hippo, an ostrich and antelopes such as an impala, a kudu, and a nyala.. seski did not respond to messages left by the associated press at his home and with an answering service for his medical practice.

  If he is a JW then this will prove to be another dark day in JW-Ville.
  The debate around hunting / trophy hunting is huge right now in my part of the world.

  It has taken me a while to process this information. I have had a difficult time with processing the graphic and violent images of what actually happened to the lion.

  TheWonderofYou has pointed out that Dr. Seski's hunting property has been financed by JWs. This sounds typical.

  Contrary to what is believed, every single "bloodless" clinic is connected to JWs. Some of the doctors and staff may not be JWs, but they all belong to the WT "blood cult", planned, organized and established by the WTS and JWs themselves. Shake the Allegheny bloodless tree and there will be JWs tumble out somewhere. The bloodless clinics do not exist outside of that influence - they are not separate from the JWs, they were established by the JWs who were trained in the HLC program. It is all the same cult, with doctors who are not JWs, mixing in the same social and finanicial circles as JWs.

  I think that this Dr, Seski is another doctor similar to Ron Lapin. I read the biography by Gene Church about Ron Lapin called No Man's Blood.

  I was chilled after learning of Lapin's surgical practices. He was a serial "cutter' - he liked to cut into people. His methods were described as 'the ultimate thrill" of walking into surgery without the safety of blood transfusions. Lapin was addicted to the thrill of cutting into people. Bloodless surgery gave him the opportuntiy to act out his pathological desire to cut flesh. His surgery was the extreme adrenaline rush of walking a tight rope without a safety net.

  I equate this "bloodless surgeon" with Dr. Ron Lapin - Dr. Seski is a serial cutter who pursued the king of all beasts to cut his head off and slice him up. For pleasure. The bloodless doctor pierced the lion's heart with an arrow - quite the different picture from a man who claims allegiance to Denton Cooley's heart surgery methods, isn't it?

  And, like Ron Lapin, Dr, Seski is compensated hugely for the opportunity to cut into JW bodies - it seems like he, too, is funded by wealthy JWs.

  I guess the best I can come up with in response is this:

  JWs, meet the man who slices your bodies up. And the bodies of your children.

  How many JW trophy heads hang on this doctor's wall?

  sorry i have to remain completely anonymous about this but you will see why.

  i have first hand knowledge that geoffrey jackson of the governing body is staying with his parents in toowoomba, queensland for the next few weeks.

  he has already been in australia for a couple of weeks.

  vidiot: I'm really starting to suspect that the RC timed its WT inquiry to coincide with Jackson's visit.
  They did mention that they knew he was in Australia "a few weeks ago".

  Either that, or, as a poster has already mentioned somewhere, Jackson was here strategically. He could have timed his visit such that he could hide out behind the scenes and direct the action by "giving sound scriptual advice" to his brothers in trouble.

  The sick father could very well be the Plan B excuse that they pulled out of the shadows when they needed it.

  Lol! I have a picture of Jackson on his knees "preying" during every single one of the sessions we have watched so far. My goodness, that hot line to Jehoovah must be getting pretty warm by now! The branch guys must have got extra preying from Jackson when they were appearing on the stand.
