By their own standards, they are no longer ...
by wantingtruth inby their own standards, they are no longer "jehovah's witnesses”.
.. i finally got a hold of the "od book" (organized to do jehovah's will), the book that replaced the other "organized" book for field service and congregational arrangements.
i was reading through this and noticed an irony starting on page 155. this section deals with "disassociation"... (i'm sure others have already seen or discussed this, but i've been running behind lately).. "a person might renounce his place in the christian congregation by his actions, such as by becoming part of a secular organization that has objectives contrary to the bible and, hence, is under judgment by jehovah god.

After learning the truth about the truth, many elders try to change things in their own halls only to realize the problems are from HQ, the top down, and have become systemic. Eventually they realize nothing can be changed, and staying only supports the Borg, so they leave.

The Zakhariv District Court of Odesa Region found a resident of the region guilty of evading military service during mobilization and sentenced him to three years in prison.
As stated in the court' s verdict, the accused did not admit his guilt in committing the crime and provided the following testimony. On July 3, 2024, he voluntarily came to the territorial center for recruitment and social support and on the same day sent a mailed application requesting to replace military service with non-military service and a certificate that he was a clergyman.
He also said that he had sent a similar application and certificate to the Zatyshany village council. On July 6, 2024, he came to the CCC again and verbally and in writing informed the CCC staff that he was a Jehovah's Witness, as he wanted his deep religious conviction to be taken into account, because obeying God's orders is the meaning of his life. The man was baptized in 2014 and it is not acceptable for him to be a military servant, take an oath, receive a salary and wear a uniform. However, he noted that he wants to be useful to the state and society, but only in a civilian way. He noted that Jehovah's Witnesses meet twice a week. He provides spiritual support, makes speeches, holds meetings, explains and helps believers, and preaches the good news. In view of the above, he asked the court to acquit him.
However, the judges, who were provided with a copy of the charter of the religious organization "Religious Center of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ukraine," decided that none of the provisions of this document specified any prohibitions for members of the said religious organization to carry or use weapons, wear military uniforms, receive military pay, or perform military service in general.

Wow. What a flashback that chart is. Those meeting parts were cringeworthy. "The beatings shall continue until moral improves".
I remember Grandma insisting her publisher goal was 60hrs a month from the 30s and 40s.

A lot of speculation. Why are there missing documents? You present the clerk with multiple copies to be filed and stamped, and KEEP one for yourself.
Accusing a federal judge of being a pedophile, part of a conspiracy, or being paid off is a quick way to get your case dismissed.
Why would a tax-free religion launder money? Concern over asset protection from lawsuits? Were cash receipts from unrelated sources and not "religious"...therefore taxable? Any CPAs here?
What did local JW attorneys say about the case before filing?
Why not hire a real attorney or at least a paralegal before tackling a multi-billion-dollar
corporation?

It's been over 100 degrees all week. ughhh. Some free cold air sounds great. Our AC electric bill will be astronomical this month. :)
The CO will probably coming soon, and all the young "future Elders" signed up to temporary/vacation pioneer this month to gain the COs attention. :)

I don't remember the most recent one but I remember the morbid subject discussed multiple times in the past...sometimes gleefully. Weird subject.
My mother seemed fascinated by the subject. Hitchcock's classic movie "The Birds" got her going for months. Birds and the wild beasts of the field would do most the work.
At one time Watchtower said Anti matter would do the work. lol.

I remember the "pioneer meeting" when the Circuit overseer came to town. Made your 100 hrs...not good enough! Perhaps your Bible Studies, book placements, Back Calls, Magazine placements, or subscriptions were below the national average for pioneers. The Serve US Watchtower Bible and Tract Society Publishing Corporation.
Same BS at Bethel. 40 hrs of volunteer work...nope, not good enough. 44 hours minimum requirement, plus one 8-hour night shift as a watchman or performing all night service department backlog tasks, plus one Sunday per month in the kitchen. PLUS all congregation duties and 10 hrs of field service usually on Sunday. You Worthless slave/sinner!
My overloaded ASS with the heavy load was how I felt for 50 years. No light yoke for JWs.
Heavy loads for the flock but not for the the GB jet set!

The A train runs the length of Manhattan under the river through Brooklyn out to Rockaway. The stops changed over the years. Express vs local gets confusing. Zipping along underground with all the filth, crowds, and crazies can be disorienting.
When I visited New York City for work, and Bethel friends in later years, I was glad to use cabs!
