Born Philippos, Prince of Denmark and Greece in 1921, Prince Philip has died aged 99 years old (June 1921 - April 2021).
A very long, quite remarkable life lived.

anyone following the derek chauvin trial?.
if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.
there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?
Another video from Shapiro.
Apparently, George Floyd's partner has admitted that she recently had to take Floyd to hospital because he was feeling unwell due to his drug habit.
Plus, the prosecution won't offer Floyd's drug dealer immunity in exchange for him to take the witness stand.
Interesting …
if coke disturbed you because of a certain stance would you stop buying coke?
would you stop watching a sport if a certain view was politicized?.
would you boycott a certain product because you did not agree with the corporation’s opinions?
Does Politics Affect Your Entertainment Decisions and Choices? - er, not really.
I think it's best to separate the art from the artist in most cases.
E.g. I like Rosemary's Baby (1968) and Chinatown (1974), even though director Roman Polanski allegedly had sex with at least one underage girl.
If I find a piece of art to be excellent, I'll like it.

Let personal bias and prejudices begin - of course there are biases and prejudices … on both sides.
Lots of people have called Chauvin a murderer before the trial even began. <---- those people are prejudiced and biased, too, right Snare?

The cops are at fault here - do black people have any agency and responsibilities?
I feel the need to ask because it's unclear from your comments what you think on this matter ...
so a few months ago i saw avatar (2009) from beginning to end for the first time.. if i'd seen this when i was ten, i'd probably have loved it.
i find the film entertaining but i do have issues with it.. the movie is beautiful to look at, and there's definitely some interesting concepts.. but star wars it ain't.. first issue, the na'vi: these are blue-skinned humanoids with tails.. my first question is: why do blue monkeys who live 5 light years away on an extrasolar moon have african accents?!.
i know what writer/director james cameron is doing in this film.
What is amazing about Avatar is that it's the highest grossing movie of all time and yet it's had almost zero influence on society - I'm almost tempted to view it as a video game, not a movie, lol.

Here's Critical Drinker's take on Avatar.
Well worth a look …
we live in strange times, in the middle of a culture war where saying certain opinions have consequences.

And thirdly, should breaking the law, being an addict or passing off fake notes (because you are an addict) be deserving of a death sentence?! - no, but all those things may cause problems, even serious ones.
If George Floyd had complied with police and got in the car, he might still be alive today.
There's a lesson here for people - black, white & brown - to learn ...
Live within the law. Comply with police officers.
^^^ Not hard, is it?

Anyone following the Derek Chauvin trial? - I'm starting to follow it now.
I can't see Chauvin being found guilty of murder. The prosecution needs to establish in court that Chauvin intended to kill Floyd and then went ahead and did it. And the available evidence just doesn't support this.
I think he may be convicted on grounds of manslaughter or criminal negligence or something.
Then, there's gonna be huge amounts of violence and looting. Er, sorry, 'mostly peaceful protesting', lol.
Here's an interesting video by Ben Shapiro. Apparently, a witness for the prosecution was so popular with Chauvin's defence team that his lawyers are gonna call him for the defence.
