SOME Witnesses go straight to the Watchtower's legal department - but this is official JW procedure.
It's not personal choice.
In case of child abuse allegations, JWs should go straight to legal. <--- official JW policy.
it just that the gb has a problem mixing biblical fact with goofy opinions.. but at least is isn't like the churces!.

It takes a lop-sided view to make such accusations - accusations of child sex abuse must always be taken seriously.
Normal people go straight to the police.
Witnesses go straight to the Watchtower's legal department.
The ARC had 1006 cases of unreported child abuse in Australia, from about 1950-2015.

Or how about this video, which details Terrence O'Brien's behaviour when the Australian Commission was seeking to find out if Governing Body member Geoffrey Jackson could attend. Mr O'Brien basically lied by omission when he said that Jackson's role in the GB is limited to translator.

What do you think about this?

D- Is ridiculous - you think the Watchtower religion failing to report allegations of child abuse to the authorities is ridiculous?
Have you seen the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (the ARC)?
It's eye-opening …
have you gone back to that- or lost you faith because of 'brothers'?.
Have you gone back to that- or lost you faith because of 'brothers'? - nope.
I left because JW doctrine turned out to be a pile of sh1t.
Also, the religion has hidden much child sex abuse from the relevant authorities. Go figure.

I Just Can’t Help Believing - it seems that we humans need to have cultural norms otherwise the world is confusing and depressing.
Nihilists tend to be depressed.
But this doesn't mean that religion or belief in God is necessary.
I've just watched a fascinating conversation between Jordan Peterson and Stephen Fry. Well worth watching if you have the time.
I accept science. You kinda have to, don't you? lol
I have some belief in myself to try and look at things critically. I also believe that doing one's best and being the best version of oneself is desirable and worthwhile. Of course, it's easier to say this than do it!
Some myths, including even religious myths, can have some value, even if they're not literally correct or real.
I obviously don't believe in organised religion at all.
sadly, british blm activist sasha johnson is critically ill in hospital after being shot in the head.. first, i'd like to wish her a recovery if this is possible.. but i also think this could be a good test case of how the british media report this event.. i think it could be good to explore media bias.. so, we have the right-wing daily mail saying that, according to her friend, sasha johnson was shot in the head due to being in the cross-fire of a gang shooting, and that she wasn't the intended target, neither was she targeted because of her politics.. at the other end of the spectrum, the left-wing guardian is saying that she was shot after receiving death threats, according to her political party that she founded.. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9612115/drive-gunmen-shot-black-panther-oxford-sasha-johnson-head-fired-house-party.html.

Where do upstanding brits get a gun? - Brits can get a gun licence and a gun, but we don't have the right to bear arms.
Gangs use guns and, even more so, knives. Gangs and other criminals just ignore British law, lol.

The definition of gang covers BLM and supremacists - no, BLM aren't a 'gang', despite whatever prejudices they may have. BLM is an organisation with a political agenda. That agenda being to weaponise certain crimes against black people to try and insert Marxism into society.
Gangs as used here refers just to gangs as commonly understood - people going around in groups, committing crime, selling drugs, feuding with each other, shooting each other, whatever.
