The evolution theory has run out of time - this is a dubious statement.
Life has existed on Earth for billions of years. That's untold individuals for natural selection to act on, over many, many generations.
recently, some scientists modeled one of the simplest known cells - that of a bacteria.
it took an army of 128 computers running for 10 hours to process the data required in the 25 categories of molecules that are involved in this "simple cells'" life processes.
think about that for a moment - 128 computers running for 10 hours just to compute the data, not actually do it mind you; but just to model the known processes in one of the simplest known cells, which is many orders of magnitude simpler than a human cell.

i find it interesting that we live in a cancel culture.
the influencers go after abraham lincoln, uncle ben , aunt jemima, the flag, the national anthem, people they perceive as not following their agenda.
in the midst of all of this, rap music and its dehumanizing culture are off limits to talk about.
I think any music that encourages violence against anyone else should be banned - the thing is, most rap songs don't encourage actual violence against real people.
The lyrics do seem to glorify violence, though.
However, haven't we been here before?
There is no link between pornography and men who rape women, from what I remember.
There is no link between people who watch horror films and violent crime.
Can't people listen to rap, with the strongest of lyrics, without murdering a bunch of people?
I mean, it can't be a legitimate excuse, can it - a young thug arrested for attempted murder, and the guy says 'well, I listen to rap music, you see, and the lyrics told me to do it'

@Justmemorph - I remember playing this song in my car when I dropped a brother off to his house.
Yeah, the brother had 'a word with me', lol.
It was my f**kin car, my f**kin sound system, tho!

Hi Min!

Anyhoo, here's a little vid that you might find interesting …

If we use the N word it’s racist but if rappers or those that follow the genre say it, it’s all good! - I yearn for a world where black, white & brown can all call each other n*gga. Sounds good to me.
In the meantime, here's 50 Cent's In Da Club (explicit version).
Enjoy …
chris stuckmann is a youtube reviewer of films and aspiring film maker himself.. he has over a million subscribers to his channel.
in my ignorance, i've always been a bit jealous of successful youtubers, including stuckmann - y'know, 'they make loads of money, life must be great for them.'.
and then i found out chris stuckmann used to be a jw, was born into it, and walked away from it.. he says in this video that even now, his dad will probably never speak to him again for telling all about his past.. well, all the best, chris stuckmann!.
They suck all Happiness and Joy out of you, along with your real personality - yes, they do. The part where Chris is posting an early video of him inexplicably saying that he had to stop his YT channel was heart breaking. We, the viewers, were seeing a person being mentally broken, having their goals and dreams destroyed.
Something similar happened to me when I was about 16 or 17. I wanted to join a football team, playing semi-professional football. I was always pretty good at the sport and wanted to see how far I could go with it. But, as I was a JW, the WTS soon put a stop to it. 'Too competitive' … 'bad association' (two elders literally said that me sharing a dressing room with 'worldly people' would lead me to having pre-marital sex with a girl - I'm not kidding! XD
There is a Career for you as well LUHE, in Movie and Book Reviews I would think. If you fancy it - thanks. I certainly like films, but I don't think I'd be great in front of the camera. You have to be enthusiastic and sell yourself, and I'm not good at that. And besides, there are other people much better than me at reviewing movies.
As well as Chris Stuckmann, here are some other movie review channels …

^^^ Any and all well worth checking out.
just though i'd start a thread devoted to languages, dialects/sociolects and accents, with the idea being that posters can comment on any language, or dialect or accent of any language, on this thread.. any phrases, expressions or idioms that you find interesting are also welcome.
first, the subject of english accents came up on another thread.. the british isles have many different types of accent (although many of the dialects may be dying out), and if i start to take a closer look, i can't help but see 'patterns' .... in received pronunciation of standard english, the letter r is pronounced initially, between vowels, and after consonants, e.g.
red, arrow, break.
Here are some Arabic words which English has borrowed (with or without some changes).
Can you guess what these words mean?
1. al-khwarizmi
2. al-jabr
3. quTn
4. al-badhinjaan
5. Sifr
6. qahwa
7. jamal or gamel
8. ghazaal
9. ghoul
10. junayh or gunayh
do you support the death penalty or do you think the worst punishment should be incarceration?.
OK, so …
Cost of housing a healthy prisoner per annum: $22,000.
Cost of lethal dose used per prisoner: $17,000.
Death penalty is cheaper than prison.
do you support the death penalty or do you think the worst punishment should be incarceration?.
In Texas the cost of executing a prisoner is over $2,000,000. That is about 3 times the cost of housing a prisoner in a maximum security facility for 40 years - have you done the math right?
In Texas, is the cost of executing each prisoner really 'over $2,000,000' per prisoner? <------ show me your working out, please.
How much does it cost to incarcerate a prisoner every year?
i've just been watching a few youtube videos on exoplanets.. an exoplanet is a planet which orbits a star other than our sun.. and scientists have discovered dozens and dozens of different planets orbiting different stars.. this is pretty damn awesome ….
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgnwpbhrcqs.
Here's an interesting video on the Trappist-1 system.
Trappist-1 is a red dwarf star about 40 light-years away from Earth.
There are seven planets which orbit this star, all of their orbits are much closer than Mercury's but because the star is cool and a dwarf, several of these exoplanets inhabit the 'Goldilocks Zone', and so may harbour life.
Interesting …
