......I called to my sister again, and she told me that when the elders came to her house, they told her that there will be a judicial committee this friday because they have been visiting her many times to convince her that she must attend the meetings, but she always resists this advice and she show them past publications...., so the procedure now is to reunite with her in a judical committe. ..........

Accordingly, ...I told her that she should call to the elders to tell them that she is following the advice of his attorney, so they have to write a letter specifying the charges on which that judicial committee will be accomplished, due to her reputation is being questioned by them. So, without that letter she will not attend that private meeting.

I hope she can tell them that.

Indeed she has talked with them in other meetings and she has pointed out that she does not support the Societies' policies.

She does not want to be disfellowshipped because she wants to continue to talk with other witnesses, but she no longer attends the meetings, because she does not believe anymore in Borg......And yes, may be if she mentions them that she will ask an attorney, they will be scared.

Today I called to my sister and she told me that two elders went to her house to announce her that a judicial committe is waiting her in the kingdom hall this friday. She told them that she will confirm if she will go. However, I have told her that she shouldn't go, instead she should ask them to write a formal letter, with signatures, asking her for which charges she should be submitted in a private room with two men (or three?) in a judicial committee. If they don't want to write it, it means that they don't want to produce any prove of their intimidatory practices.

Of course, my sister most probably is being judged for apostasy. But I don't want her to be humiliated by attending such stupid committee.

Any thoughts?

Losing Faith

i've always been a "spiritual" person.

i've been an avid bible reader since as early as i can remember.

i read the bible cover to cover for the first time when i was about 17 years old and have read it at least twice more since then.

cappytan Your experience is somewhat similar of that of mine. After noticing that the Watchtower Society is a deceptive organization, which tends to minimize its serious errors, I still believed that Jehovah was God and Jesus was our Savior. But after appliying a critical analysis to the Old and New Testament, I had to admit that Yahweh can't be God. The books of the Old Testament have many contradictions and moral problems, which show that there was no coherent god inspiring them. A loving god can't order you to kill infants (read 1 Samuel 15:1-5). A loving god can't promote revenge (read Numbers 31:1-2). A genuine god can't proclaim false prophecies (Ezekiel 29:12). This is why I don't believe that the Bible can provide us a trustworthy guide.
