I never understood that line of reasoning. Of course if you put it in your mind, you'll be able to recall it. That's not holy spirit, that's a thing called "studying". People do it in college, all the time, although JW's wouldn't know that.

i've been catching up on the videos and news articles.

the elders, lawyers, branch members, hired reports are all getting slammed!

that dude has a response and point to bring up on everything!

believed that biblical line about "what to say will be given to you" by the Holy Spirit.

So far, this verse has not applied for them. If anything, the other way around. If I believed in God and thought he got involved, I'd have to say he's bringing to light about the JW and showing them to be false.

How can a JW watch these videos and think Holy Spirit is helping them out in anyway, let alone helping them "speak". If anything, holy spirit is making them speak in "tongues". Unfortunately, not one the commission nor anyone else understands the language.

I've been catching up on the videos and news articles. The elders, lawyers, branch members, hired reports are all getting slammed! That dude has a response and point to bring up on everything! Almost every person on the JW side has been squirming in their seats!

Their answers aren't even good! They're that of a child. Did they not go over ahead of time to come up with good answers?

I thought it'd be bad but this is a complete slaughter! Every minute of the video I watch the JW look worse and worse. Did they not prepare for this event?

These dudes kick butt and leave no stone unturned! Better yet, the JW logic and loop hole attempts are being brought out right away! They're seeing all the BS that the average JW takes years, if ever to see!

As loathsome as the organization's presidential predecessor, Rutherford was, he actually fronted up in public and defiantly nailed his colors to the mast. The modern-day JW organization sticks to its airbrushed, tightly controlled appearances safe from scrutinizing inquiries.

You could get away with that then. Now, it'd be all over YouTube, forums, reddit, news, blogging sites etc... JW land is having a hard time in the information age. Their 1 website is dwarfed by thousands of others, YouTube videos, blogs and so on.

Jehovah Witness Wikapedia written by the same people who write the publications?

i took a look at the jehovah's witnesses wikipedia page for the first time and i couldn't help but notice it was worded very closely to how jw's publications are.

the good stuff seems to be very positive while the negative items seem to be very downplayed.

the talk of persecution is enough to get your average jw wet.

how in the world are they putting stuff on Wikipedia that isn't well sourced since we know that the policy manuals are confidential. I know anybody can write anything, but at the minimum, their statement that elders do report even in the case of one witness should be struck for lack of credible source. In fact, the actual source that can be linked without DMCA says otherwise.

I love how they put WT articles and Year Books as sources. The Watchtower and Awake doesn't even put accurate references in them!

The wiki pages seems to be one giant WT article. I'm surprised we don't study it for the midweek meeting. I can see all the heads bobbing now as they read the persecution portion.

Years ago I used to edit JW related articles on WP with a pro-JW. It was a result of doing that that I discovered that many of my beliefs and behaviors as a JW were indefensible.

It's funny, as a kid I thought a JW could own anyone at the door or in a debate. Any other religious beliefs or not.

Come to find out as a young adult that it's actually the other way around. A half educated person can own your average JW belief system at a door.

Then again, a lot of teachings or "new light" lately have made it 10x harder for a JW to defend. So far, none of the JW teachings have withstood the age of time.

Didn't some people figure out that IP addresses based in NYC were editing JW pages?

Wouldn't surprise me. I bet they have a whole internet/pr division that their sole purpose is media & internet damage control.

Agreed! Although I have to say, I'm really impressed by how much research the commission has already done and what they already know. They've dug very deep, not just the surface. Everyday they surprise me what they bring to light or notice is BS.
