Blah, blah blah, same ole shinola. Just like scholar no workable kings list. This is where it begins and ends. The witness has nothing, never has, nerver will.
Sorry, back to the drawing board.

Therefore, somewhere in the King's list there is an additional 20 years that secular historians do not acknowledge
Did you just come to the planet earth? Is this a conspiracy, the hidding of some twenty years. Stop it, stop it right now. Or start digging in the sand looking for some traces of a missing king.
Face it you cannot make it work. 1914 doesnt mean a friggin thing.

third says:The wt is merely quoting secular authorities as to what they say.
That was not the case when the Towers quoted Graysons work for the Insight vol. As well as the early church fathers in the "Should you beleive in the trinity.
C'mon Third you've got to better than this.
edited to add: use breaks in your paragraphs thanx

And for the ones who claim that the same evidence that proves 539 also proves 587. This is incorrect. To arrive at 539 persian kings are involved. To arrive at 587, the reigns of Babylonian kings are involved.
Hey third, produce a workable Babylonian kings list and you'll quite alot of posters'

kid a: E.B.: You have been caught in your own web of lies. You are an attention-whore and a TROLL wasting bandwidth on the board. Get lost.hee hee!
It just seemed funny when I was reading something she wrote about the LDS, and qcmbr chimed inon another thread. And thought she's a Mormon which is fine, however I just had a few questions, while not wanting to beat down yet another newbie cult member. I'd give her a chance.
Then this topic got started....hmmmm.
In all fairness I'll wait for her response.
Ellderwho of the genuine class.

Elderbarry, your confusing me, in a thread called "any LDSs out there", you state:
Now I'm a Latter Day Saint and happy. The LDS Church is almost the mirror image of the WT religion. I'm not a fundamentalist "Mormon" though. Read my profile for a short paragraph about my attitude toward religion in general and the LDS Church in particular. Still, I love the LDS Church! God has never been so real to me as "He" is now. I've been a "Mormon" for just a few years now. I chose the name Elder Barry because that was the name of the elder, the missionary, that brought me into the Church.
Then you state in this thread you started called "okay this is what I am" you state:
Lately the Mormons have been stopping by because I made the mistake of asking for a free book of mormon for my sister. As a joke. Anyway, HI! I am actually very human and probly as sane as anyone here. Maybe I'm just a little bit higher. No, probly not. -Lisa
So whats up?
i frequently have insomnia - but have found some help in getting back to sleep.. first, stop talking to yourself in your head!
if you get up to go to the bathroom, don't allow any internal dialog.. second, try doing the "wave".
you pretend that a gentle wave is moving your body in bed.
Ive tooled around with this good night sleep stuff and found that a evening snack with calcium ie.cheese and milk is a natural sleep aid. Also regulate the times of sleep. Like dont go to bed to early. You might find you only need six hours of shut eye. Also I found that when I have a good cardio work out, I dont sleep as long. Protein shakes (homemade) seem to help me rest better. You could try the supplement meletonin. Which the brain releases to induce the ZZZZs
hi my name is lisa.
i'm not an elder of course and never have been.
i was a jw for just a few years and then relocated and left it behind.
Elderbarry, welcome to the forum,
This question is to you and Qcmbr, as the Mormon doctrine goes....when do you finally know when your saved?

i've been struggling for quite some time now about continuing my exploration of the jehovah witness faith.
i am a "cradle" catholic and have been very involved with the church.
i started to become disillusioned several months back with all of the tradition, habits, and teachings of the church--which i began to seriously doubt.
Marketman,
I disagree with others that say " you have to descide yourself". The Watchtower makes that choice very very clear. Would you buy into a life insurance policy without throughly 'kicking the tires'? No you would not!
You would come to learn, upon further review the Watchtower is one of todays premier "sleepy cults" in that its not all at once, its little by little, they will take over your life while seemingly providing a comfort zone from todays world.
Ask any Witness to review old Watchtower literature and you will be amazed at the fact they will not participate. Because it contradicts what the recent views are.
Buyer beware!
