Boy is this great! I'm watching a movie on it while looking at this board. This is my first new one in about 6 years. This is soooo much better that my old one. I think I even type better on it. At least I hope so.

I got a Dell Inspiron 6000. 60GB hd, Intel pro wirless, 24x Combo DVD/CD-RW and a bunch of other stuff I don't understand. It came with Works Suite 2005 which has Money,Streets & Trips, Encarta, Works8, Word, Picture it all of which I all ready have but I guess newer is better. I have MS Office and I'll put that on this pc. We bought it with my wifes discount through her work so I guess the price was good but I think you can buy them for about the same directly through Dell. The profit margins are pretty tight on electronics. It came with a USB flash memory and I order a wireless mouse because I'm not good with the pad thing on notebooks. The mouse is made by Kensington and seems to work quite well. This computer seems to do everything I want it to do. If I have any problems with it I'll let you know. The only problem I am having so far is trying to download Mozilla and Firefox. I get a ........is not a valid Win32 Application.

very nice. i recently got the apple g4 powerbook and it rrrrocks!! i know some people dont go for mac, but i'm a devotee. one person even asked me why i didnt get a "real" computer.

my husband's employer recently supplied him w. the dell inspiron. i did lots of comparisons to that before deciding. his dell keeps crashing. wahaha.

i would recommend the powerbook to anyone shopping for a notebook/laptop. the software is loads of fun. i keep picking it up and hugging and kissing it. I'm in .

Very nice Hartstrings. I see you got WordPerfect. I still like to use WP sometimes and so does my wife but you seem to find to many people still using it. I think law offices still us it a lot.

My current notebook is a Dell Lattitude D800 that I've had for about 2 years now. My next one might be a powerbook, just because I've never had one, and feel like it's time for a change.
