i have this friend and i told her that i have an addiction that can become very distructive and she keeps telling me that the root of my addiction is depression. however, i know this is not the case. how should i tell her how i am feeling about her "conclusions" with out seeming rude?

A conclusion means the end of something - closure. An addiction is an ongoing and developing thing. What may be your conclusion today, maynot be tomorrow.

Why do you feel the need to reach conclusions and then share them? Why not just thank her for her concern, say nothing and just be aware? ........................................

    Hmm...how can I put this...?

Through personal experiences I have learnt - It is none of my business what other people think of me.

In other words, don't get caught up in hearsay and the politics of opinion. Especially when you or them are not willing to hear each other out and respect valid points.
