Just wondered if anyone was close enough to where Rita is suppose to hit that's evacuating? I'm 30 miles north of Wichita Falls, TX if anyone needs a place.

I evacuated SE Texas in 1998 and I have no plans of ever going back.

Shelley, there's a few of us down here around Houston, but our fam is 85 miles inland and we'll only evacuate if the electricity goes out.....cause it's too DANG HOT.....and HUMID to stay in this muck if there's no a/c. Anyway, we'll probably go to Marble Falls where my SIL has fam.

Ok. I'm a little over the 100 mile point, You are very welcome to come here. How many Dallasites will be coming? I'll step off 3 foot sections, and see how many I can fit in. HL
