Do you have an unreasonable fear of revolving doors? I do. I work in a place that has them all over, even a few of the automatic ones. Like it wasn't harrowing enough slipping into those things, now they move on their own. Yikes!
I am by no means over it, but I have decided to just live with it. It's clearly an unreasonable fear -- nobody is ever hurt in these things, at least not the manual ones. I've never been hurt in them, or even almost hurt. But everything about them just makes me uncomfortable. I always step away from them with a case of the willies.
The automatic ones actually have caused some injuries and at least one death, but I had the fear of the stupid things long before they had the automatic ones.
To make matters worse, they took out the regular doors with the signs that say "please use revolving door" to make room for the automatic one! So even if I'm feeling particularly unnerved, I still have to submit to the thing. Ugh.
If this phobia has a name, I don't know what it is. And I doubt it truly counts as a phobia, since it's very deal-withable, for me at least.
Anybody else?
