I just wanted to jump in and comment that I think you're on to a good thing with the scans. There's something powerful about actually seeing this kind of thing.
Have you show her other photos? I've had verrrry interesting reactions when I've shown photos of things like the big memorial pyramid at Russell's gravesite (with the cross-and-crown emblem carved onto each side).
Also, if you are looking into the cross with her, she might be interested in the cross-and-crown jewelry which the Society was selling up until 1927.
