When I was a JW, I was taught that other religions actually believed halos were visible. They said it was a false teaching because the Romans wouldn't have needed Judas to identify him--he would have been noticed by his halo.
I studied art history in college and learned that halos originated in art, not in church teachings. I was told that the RC church does not believe halos are real either--it's just an art thing.
After being a JW, I learned a lot of things I was told about other religions' teachings was complete nonsense.
