That a city the size of London can come to a complete halt for 2 minutes in remebrance of it's dead is quite incredible. It was very moving to watch it on TV.

I have to wait til I get home to watch it, but we were all out on the street in silence. All the cars stopped, the trams stopped, the trains and buses stopped. There is proper vigil at Trafalgar at 6 but I can't get there in time unfortunately!
Very powerful Mike.
I read the story on the bbc link on my pda this morning but I don't get video clips on it. Thanx for posting this. It was very moving.
I can't comment because I'm busy having my own moment of silence.
Does anyone get BBC News 24 channel - if so the special two hour vigil is on at Trafalgar Square. I just listened to Ken Livingstone's (Mayor of London) give his speech on the train home. Other passengers were listening on their monile phone radios and openly weeping. It was very emotional and moving. If you can watch please do, as its still on going. It is blistering heat and my whole body is covered with goosebumps.
I love London and my country. I am so proud. So very very proud.
