In some countries a service charge is included as a standard charge in the bill 10-15%, whether it finds its way to the right people who knows. Is it the customers paying part of the staff wages?
For the low paid staff I can understand why they are eager for a little tip even half a dollar, every little bit counts for them, if I am happy with their service I leave 10%.
