Wasn't there a verse somewhere that mentioned that men would fight over black gold?

I think you might be refering to Daniel 11 where it talks about the pushing and shoving by the Kings of the North and South. Verse 43 talks about the "hidden treasures." Years ago, the WT made comment that in our day, oil is what nations are fighting over and that it could very well be one of the main "hidden treasures" of the earth that the two kings fight over.
