Since I've been experiencing anxiety and depression for a long time, someone asked if I would post things that work for me and things that don't.
THINGS THAT DON'T WORK
skipping your medications
self pity, especially when you are by yourself
internalized anger
dwelling on the past
hoping people will change
thinking you don't need help
THINGS THAT DO WORK
finding the right medication and sticking with it
self esteem, getting out among other people as much as possible
healthyily expressed anger focused through creativity and action
making concrete goals for the future and following through with them
finding people that you like just the way you are and like you just the way you are
seeking help when you need it
