Thanks Merry, Maybe someday I'll have some successes to share:-) I had hoped my failures helped someone. It helped me to write about them.
I found it's not healthy for me to stuff grief and disappointment. As my life goes on my life gets better. Maybe I have lowered my expectations. I think I have. I'm trying to be a rational, objective human and I have accepted my losses as unchangeable by me. When I focus on the problem, I just understand the problem better. When I focus on the solution, I live in the solution.
I found I was neglecting the nice family members while I was grieving over the nasty family members and wishing in vain they would quit being nasty even though some of those had been nasty for over a decade. Now I just say, bye bye nasty, don't bother coming back.
