Terry, my power is my detachment from the need to impress others, including my boss and others. Where as I am generaly diplomatic, I'm not affraid to raise issues, name names and call a spade a spade. When you are materially satified and intellectually engaged, have a sense of empowerment and detachment, life is much more enjoyable than being afraid of political incorrectness or the smallness of other people.
Not sure what you had in mind, but a sense of security comes from detachment.
