Did you ever liked an elder? And if yes, for what reasons?

  I'm curious, lamb_neo... what does this matter for your debate?

  Personally, I knew elders who were assholes, hospitable, senile, intelligent, incompetent, compassionate, guys I couldn't stand, and good friends of mine. I would guess that close to half of all JW men over 30 have been elders at some point in their lives. Stereotyping elders is just plain ridiculous.

  One older gent. I worked with him secularly, but he was always compassionate and down to earth. He was never pretentious and didn't strive to be the top dog. His opinions were often unpopular with the rest of the a-holes on the body, which automatically made him okay in my book.
