Well... this one did NOT have to be altered:

"... there is no way to know precisely how Moses, David, and others of ancient times pronounced the letters that make up the divine name ".

Here's one that also didn't need to be altered.

"Truth is fact, that which is real. Things are not true simply because a person feels or hopes or believes that they are true." http://watchtower.org/library/w/2000/4/1/article_02.htm

"If arguments fail to resist analysis, assent should be withheld, and a wholesale conversion due to unsound argument must be regarded as deplorable." [p.182 Life----How did it get here? By evolution or by creation?]

"The suppression of criticism...is abnormal and undesirable..." [p.183 ibid]

Pornography shapes...fantas...tic...relationships...because...mates feel...their marriage partner...longer. Pornography use causes...an individual...to have a relationship with God. The Bible...becomes the dominant thing in his life, eclipsing everything else. A husband who...rejects pornography...offends God.

Jehovah's Witnesses have done an about-face on their teachings about God, the Bible, creation and evolution, and are about to make major changes in their teachings on these things. On their website, they say that "faith in God is merely an emotional experience." "God is not an explanation" of the universe, they now teach, and that as regards the question of origins, "our universe is all a matter of chance." What is God's role? "There is no God. His creative deity is Chance."

As for religion in general, it "has been rejected by many people of science for its resistance to scientific progress" because "damaging falsehoods and practices have infiltrated religion."

As for creationism, it "has done more harm to serious notions of belief than anything in modern history." From now on, the Watchtower Society will encourage Jehovah's Witnesses to believe in evolution: "In their congregations the Witnesses nurture a healthy respect for science and its proven findings."
