When I was a kid all the children after the meeting used to play tig off ground in the car park, sometimes jumping on the car bonnetts. That rocked!

But actually inside the KH then erm... not many. We once had a pretty cool district overseer called Bob Oldrey who always gave interesting talks. He used to talk about his own experiences and general stuff and anacondas I seem to recall. He used to ask all the little kids to draw a picture from the bible stories too and then have them up on stage to show them off on the Sunday.

I always felt a bit sorry for DO's cos when they retired they were kind of left penniless after all those years touring round staying in strangers houses. I don't suppose many of them had a pension or if they wanted to work a trade to fall back on.

    YES!!!!

I remember that there was this one sister...(who will remain nameless) who was being treated for anti depression which turned out to be a severe case of schizophrenia....she finally flew over the cuckoo's nest and came to the hall on Sunday and let certain people have it in the middle of a public discourse!!!! She told all of those who she were on her hit list that she will see them at Armageddon! She said some choice words and "comments" before being escorted out of the hall. They had to call her ex husband for assistance in getting her off the premises!!!....It was the wildest thing I have ever experienced at the meetings EVER!!!! Then there was this one time at the book study meeting where this one sister (who will also remain nameless) had hoardes of roaches crawling out her purse and tried to stop them from coming out!!! She looked at us in horror...we looked at her in horror....she eventually excused herself but we were petrified from that "fear factor" moment....those were the days!!!!!

Nothing really stands out from my own halls.

Most interesting KH story I've ever heard: Little Toe's exit.

I remember one Sunday where a visiting speaker seemed to have trouble getting through his talk. He was stumbling over words and stopping completly at times. Finally about 3/4 of the way through the talk the poor man stops, falls forward into the mike and then completely collapses. Half the brothers in the hall rush to help, and they end up calling an ambulance. They had a quick ending song and we were excused. It seems the poor guy had the flu really bad and went on with his talk anyways. Gave the congregation something to talk about for a long time!

We had a really, really old Kingdom hall; it used to be buddhist temple among other things . Well, one day there was a burning hall, a really strong one, in the hall, so the meeting was cancelled and everyone left as the brothers tried to figure out the problem themselves (they didn't bother calling the firemen for the longest time). It turns out that old telephone wires from the 1920's or 30's had caught fire.

    no,

it was pious chest beating dedication....the back stabbing made it feel like the fall of Rome toward the end. I suppose in a way, that is just what it was....
