Hi Summerfesterers!
Some people have been asking about an itinerary. We discussed it and would like it to be pretty loose so everyone can relax and have fun, including the organizers.
So here?s the big plan. We will meet everyday at the same place on the Summerfest grounds at specified times to check in with everyone, make sure they are having a good time, and feel things out. A good place to meet is the Miller Oasis, so we will plan on that.
There was talk of a group going to tour Harley Davidson, but it looks like it may only be open on Friday during the day.
I would like to take a group over to tour the newly constructed Milwaukee Art Museum that was designed by Santiago Calatrava. It is a world renowned piece of architecture, and is only a block away, so you owe it to yourself to take a peek at it. I plan on walking over there from the Summerfest grounds after we meet at noon Saturday. It?s only a block or two away from the Summerfest grounds North entrance.
Here are the times we plan on meeting at the Miller Oasis:
Friday night 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 12:00 noon 5:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00 noon 5:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m.
Summerfest closes at midnight, but bars close at 2:00 a.m. I?m sure there will be groups going out afterwards.
