    I'm so happy you posted that link SNG! And I'm not the least bit surprised.

    Every year at the RC highschool I went to, there was a volunteer "starvathon" to raise money for one need or another in the Third World. There would also be a volunteer "walkathon" for other charitable causes. I've only rarely seen a JW be as caring about other non-cultists.

    The WT has copied the RCC in many things, specially in claims of exclusivity and organizational structure.

    But here is a thing supremely different: the Catholic Church has thousands of charities around the world. And the Watchtower? NONE.

    I'm sure the appropriate branch made sure there were tons of watchtower and awake magazines sent out to needy in times of distress.

    Yeah there never is enough toilet paper after a tsunami...

    This time I am not satisfied to read the headlines, tsk over the disaster, and go on with my day. I will find a reputable charity and give something towards the relief.
