I agree. On the other hand, I was trained so well as a young JW to find the most minute fault in other groups and to milk the faults for all they were worth.
One of my nicer JW aunties - who was reasonably safe to talk openly to - until I was disfellowshipped - once complained to me that the Witnesses were being picked on for almost anything and everything. I said to her as gently as possible, "Do you think that at least part of the reason for that is that some of us Witnesses have a tendency to claim more about ourselves than we can justify and are too quick to criticise others?"
She laughed and said, "You'd better watch out saying things like that!" Truer words were never said to me. Twenty years later she's still not talking to me! steve2
