There was an older but new elder in a congregation I used to be in. He would approach me and say he and another brother wanted to make a shepherding call on me after one of our Thursday night meetings (School and SM). This was not a good idea from my perspective since I get up very early to go to work. I suggested that these brothers call on me at home but they didn't like that idea since I was a 20-minute drive from the KH. Anyway, I finally asked this brother "who makes the shepherding calls on the elders". His shocked but delayed response was "Jehovah does". After this he never again egged me on about needing a shepherding call.
