It's tough to blame the JWs for this, although I'm sure I'll think of some way. But, it appears that they just happen to have gotten in the way of a complete lunatic.
Interestingly, about 20 years ago, an elder commented to me that nutso people (not his exact phrase) seem to be attracted to this organization. How true.
At any rate, it's another bad piece of publicity for the "spiritual paradise".
